Today we’d like to introduce you to Gibran McNeal.
Hi Gibran, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always had a passion for creativity and the arts. From a young age, I enjoyed designing, building, and bringing ideas to life, which naturally led me to pursue a career in graphic design and visual communications.
My educational journey took me through Fayetteville State University and The Art Institute of Washington before earning my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from Southern New Hampshire University. Along the way, I continued developing both my creative and business skills.
I began working with entrepreneurs as a side business in 2008, helping them build their brands and market their services. What started as a passion project quickly grew through referrals and client success stories, expanding into partnerships with businesses across a variety of industries and a broader range of creative and marketing services.
In 2020, I made the decision to leave my full-time job and pursue entrepreneurship full-time. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work with doctors, politicians, universities, government contractors, and numerous organizations, including projects connected to state-funded initiatives. Those experiences have taught me the importance of adaptability, relationship-building, and delivering measurable results.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout my career is that success is built on relationships. Building a strong network has been instrumental to both my personal growth and the growth of my business. The connections you make, the value you provide, and the reputation you build often create opportunities that no marketing campaign can replicate.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, and one of the most important lessons I’ve learned as a business owner is that you can’t make everyone happy all the time. There will be occasions when a client isn’t completely satisfied or when their vision differs from the final outcome. In those situations, communication is key. By maintaining open and honest dialogue throughout the process, both parties can work together to understand expectations and find a solution that benefits everyone.
I’ve also learned that challenges aren’t limited to client relationships. Every business experiences slow seasons and periods of uncertainty. The key is to prepare for those moments, remain adaptable, and continue focusing on delivering value. Success in business isn’t about avoiding challenges, it’s about how you respond to them and continue moving forward.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
We work with small business owners to help them establish their brand identity and digital presence online. We create logos, websites, and help with marketing to bring our clients ideal customer to them. We take pride in really being that one stop shop for our clients. We streamline their experience so they don’t need to go to different vendors for different services. The thing that makes us most proud is seeing our clients flourish after they’ve worked with us. We love being able to solve those problems to help them get over whatever hurdle they needed to get to the next level.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe that staying personable and being consistent has allowed me to grow as a person and in business. People want to be treated like people, and in the world of AI, being personable and relatable can take you a long way in business.
What I’ve noticed with successful and unsuccessful business owners is the difference in consistency. Showing up every day and keeping to the task at hand yields great results over time.
