Inspiring Conversations with Lajoyce Lewis of Lady Ls Little Angels Daycare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lajoyce Lewis.

Hi Lajoyce, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with a passion for serving children, families, and my community while following God’s purpose for my life. I started Lady L’s Little Angels Daycare with the vision of creating a safe, loving, faith-filled environment where children could learn, grow, and thrive. Building the business wasn’t always easy. I faced financial challenges, staffing struggles, and moments when I questioned whether I could keep going. Through every obstacle, my faith in God reminded me that every challenge was preparing me for something greater.

As I continued to grow, God expanded my vision beyond childcare. He called me into ministry through WRAPT T.Y.T.E. (Women Reaching and Praying Together, Teaching Youth to Engage), where I encourage women and mentor young people to discover their purpose, heal from past pain, and strengthen their relationship with God. I also became an author, sharing my testimony and encouraging others through my book, Take No More, Hurt No More: Breaking Free from Pain and Choosing You.

Today, I continue to serve as an early childhood educator, entrepreneur, author, speaker, and ministry leader. Looking back, every setback became a setup for God’s greater plan. My mission is to inspire others to walk by faith, pursue their dreams with courage, and never give up on the purpose God has placed in their lives.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs and ministry leaders, I’ve faced my share of challenges. Building my daycare meant overcoming financial obstacles, staffing shortages, and the day-to-day responsibilities of running a business while ensuring every child received the highest level of care. There were times when I questioned whether I should keep going, but my faith in God gave me the strength to persevere.

I’ve also experienced personal setbacks that tested my resilience, but those seasons taught me to trust God’s timing, remain faithful, and keep moving forward even when I couldn’t see the full picture. Every challenge became an opportunity to grow stronger, wiser, and more compassionate.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that success isn’t about avoiding obstacles—it’s about trusting God through them. Today, I can honestly say that every struggle has shaped me into the leader, educator, author, international speaker, and ministry leader I am today. Those experiences have strengthened my passion for serving others and encouraging people to never give up on the purpose God has placed in their lives.

As you know, we’re big fans of Lady Ls Little Angels Daycare . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am the proud owner and director of Lady L’s Little Angels Daycare, a faith-based early childhood learning center committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment where every child is loved, valued, and encouraged to reach their full potential. We believe in educating the whole child by focusing on academic growth, social and emotional development, and strong Christian values.

In addition to leading my daycare, I am the founder of WRAPT T.Y.T.E. (Women Reaching and Praying Together, Teaching Youth to Engage), a ministry dedicated to empowering women and mentoring youth through faith, encouragement, leadership, and personal growth. Through conferences, workshops, speaking engagements, and mentorship, I help individuals discover their purpose and walk confidently in their God-given calling.

I am also an international speaker and author who is passionate about equipping early childhood educators, business owners, and ministry leaders with practical tools, inspiration, and encouragement. Through my books, speaking engagements, and coaching, my goal is to help others grow both personally and professionally while remaining grounded in their faith.

What sets me apart is my heart for service. I don’t just see children, families, or individuals—I see purpose, potential, and possibilities. Whether I’m caring for children, mentoring women, encouraging educators, or speaking to audiences, I strive to lead with compassion, integrity, excellence, and faith.

What I am most proud of is the impact my work has made in the lives of others. Seeing children thrive, families feel supported, women rediscover their worth, and others gain the confidence to pursue their dreams reminds me why I do what I do. My brand is built on faith, love, excellence, empowerment, and community. I want people to know that when they connect with me or any of my organizations, they are joining a mission that is committed to changing lives, inspiring hope, and making a lasting difference—one child, one family, and one person at a time.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending time with my family and being surrounded by love, laughter, and a strong sense of community. Those moments taught me the importance of caring for others, showing kindness, and building meaningful relationships. I also have fond memories of learning through play, being encouraged to dream big, and watching the adults in my life work hard and help those around them.

Looking back, those experiences shaped who I am today. They inspired my passion for working with children, serving families, and creating safe, loving spaces where every child feels valued and supported. They also laid the foundation for my commitment to faith, service, and making a positive impact in my community.
