Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Adams Jazlyn Rowe.
Hi Stephanie Adams, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Wild Daisy Boutique is much more than a clothing store—it represents healing, hope, and a dream that grew out of a difficult season in our lives.
We’re Stephanie and Jazlyn, a mother-daughter team with a shared love of fashion and helping women feel confident. In 2023, after the unexpected loss of Stephanie’s husband of 32 years and Jazlyn’s father, Jim Adams, we were looking for a way to spend time together and channel our grief into something meaningful. What started as an online boutique in May 2023 quickly became a passion project that brought us joy and purpose during one of the hardest times in our lives.
The name Wild Daisy is especially meaningful to us. Growing up, Jim affectionately called Jazlyn “Daisy.” He always encouraged her to be strong like her mother and reminded her that she could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Naming our boutique Wild Daisy felt like the perfect way to honor his memory while carrying his love and encouragement with us every day.
After building our online boutique for nearly two years and developing an incredible community of loyal customers, we took a leap of faith and opened our brick-and-mortar store in our hometown of Norton, Virginia, in October 2024. The response from our community exceeded anything we could have imagined. As our business continued to grow, we made another exciting investment by purchasing our own commercial building in downtown Norton in December 2025. That milestone represented more than business growth—it reflected our belief in the future of our downtown and our commitment to being part of its continued revitalization.
Our vision has always been to create a welcoming place where women can find stylish, affordable clothing that helps them feel confident—whether they’re dressing for work, a special occasion, or everyday life. We carefully curate pieces that are both fashionable and versatile because we believe looking your best shouldn’t have to come with a luxury price tag.
Today, Wild Daisy Boutique is about so much more than fashion. It’s about family, resilience, and community. We love collaborating with other local businesses, supporting fellow entrepreneurs, hosting events that bring people together, and giving back to the community that has embraced us from the beginning. Every customer who walks through our doors becomes part of our story, and we are incredibly grateful for the support that has allowed us to turn a season of loss into something filled with purpose, connection, and hope.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has made us stronger.
The biggest obstacle was starting a business while navigating the grief of losing Jim. Wild Daisy Boutique was born during a time when our family was searching for healing, so there were days when balancing emotions with building a business felt overwhelming. Looking back, though, the boutique became a source of hope and purpose for both of us.
Building a business while maintaining full-time careers has also been a challenge. Stephanie is beginning her 35th year as an educator with the local school system, where she has dedicated over half her life to her passion for educating. Jazlyn practices full-time as a family nurse practitioner, as well as a wife and mom to two young, energetic boys—Axel and Lincoln. She also practices as a Certified Aesthetic Injector. Learning how to balance our careers, family responsibilities, and growing a small business has required a lot of late nights, early mornings, and teamwork.
Like many small business owners, we’ve also had to navigate learning the retail industry, managing inventory, adapting to changing fashion trends, building our online presence, and making big decisions about growth. Opening our brick-and-mortar store and later purchasing our own commercial building were exciting milestones, but they also came with significant responsibility and risk.
Through it all, we’ve relied on our faith, our family, and the incredible support of our customers and community. Every challenge has strengthened our determination and reminded us why we started Wild Daisy Boutique in the first place. We truly believe that some of life’s greatest blessings can come from the most difficult seasons, and we’re grateful that what began as a way to heal has grown into a business that allows us to serve and connect with so many wonderful women.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What we’re most proud of isn’t just the growth of our business—it’s the relationships we’ve built along the way. We’re proud that Wild Daisy Boutique has become a place where women feel welcomed, encouraged, and confident. Seeing customers walk out with a smile because they found something that makes them feel beautiful is the greatest reward.
We believe what sets us apart is that we’re genuine. We aren’t a large retail chain—we’re a family. Our customers know us by name, and we know many of them by theirs. Whether they’re shopping in our boutique, joining one of our live sales, or interacting with us online, we want every woman to feel like she’s part of the Wild Daisy family.
Our different backgrounds also make us unique. Serving people has always been at the heart of what we do, and that carries over into our boutique. We don’t just sell clothing—we help women find confidence, celebrate milestones, and feel their best.
Finally, we’re proud to be investing in our hometown. From opening our storefront to purchasing our own commercial building in downtown Norton, we’ve chosen to grow where our roots are.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
What we like best about Norton:
Without a doubt, it’s the people. Norton is a community where neighbors genuinely care about one another and support local businesses. From the moment we opened Wild Daisy Boutique, we felt embraced by our customers and community. That encouragement has meant the world to us and has played a huge role in our success.
We also love seeing the continued investment in downtown Norton. It’s exciting to watch new businesses open, buildings be restored, and people come together to create a vibrant community. Purchasing our own building downtown was our way of investing in the future of a city we love and believe in.
What we like least about Norton:
Like many small communities, one of our biggest challenges is encouraging people to shop locally before looking elsewhere or online. We have so many wonderful locally owned businesses that offer unique products, exceptional service, and a personal shopping experience you simply can’t find elsewhere.
We’d love to see even more people discover everything downtown Norton has to offer. Every time someone chooses to shop local, dine local, or support a local event, they’re helping strengthen our community and ensure that small businesses continue to thrive. We believe the future of Norton is bright, and we’re excited to be part of that growth.
