Today we’d like to introduce you to LM Designs8.
Hi LM, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
For as long as I can remember I have always been in love with the code and immersive sides of art. When I was young and went to the Disney Store I wouldn’t try on the clothes or be searching for the next toy I was trying to figure out how if I tap this screen does it fill with the color that I wanted? The rest is my story of developing and expressing the vivid creations of my mind space and my quest for making it a playground for those interested in taking a deep dive into LMDesigns8. LM are my initials, designs are what I do, and 8 is my favorite number but in the instance of my name it represents infinity. With movement as my base, I have always woven motion into my work and healing. I have always been a writer of words but never considered myself a poet until later in life. I avoided public speaking in all capacities, even dropped an elective course at VCU because I rejected the anxiety that came with it. I fought through that and was able to become the host for an open mic show for 186 episodes, taken the NFTNYC stage multiple times, and preform pieces of my published poems from my Dear Self Diaries book! I learned through building my healing toolkit how to use breathing techniques to dissipate the anxiety and allow me to show up how I was meant to in any capacity on stages for 1 – 1000s of people.
After contracting Lyme and having to work remotely and then finally transitioning out of corporate I found my artistry blossomed and took off in amazing ways. During COVID I developed and honed more skills that lead me to and through web3.
2023 was filled with accomplishments that have become the foundation of where I will go! Developing NFT NYC 2023 Tez Art Connects AR components for the grand opening of the NFT Gallery which was sponsored by Tez Commons by building with 8th wall and using the same assets to create the twinning experience in Spatial.io I was able to time capsule of the monumental event.
I am most proud of my “Infin8 Breath 7Cs” mediation collection. I created this art to help align people’s energies and help teach the 4-7-8 breath principles to help people be less stressed. By including my personal sound bath mediations and paint pour patterns for extra charge I feel deeply connected to the creations that formed from these. Multiple immersive experiences have since been created from the assets, in places like OVER the Reality and Spatial.io, which provide a place to mediate together or have a solo experience any time.
Being “OVER the Reality” first creator/platform Twitter Space of “Meditation in the Metaverse with LMDesigns8” was such an honor. By leveraging their geotagging and Unity SDK I have been able to create immersive meditation experiences that can bring pockets of peace filled energies to those wanting meditation wherever they are.
Creating wheelchairs as transports compatible with Spatial and interoperable through Unity and making a special one for the original requestor making the material their art! All of these have fueled the multidimensional, inclusive, emerging ways of LMDesigns8.
In 2024 my art and ways were displayed multiple times in Times Square, experienced during NFT NYC 2024 as a featured artist and VIP Speaker on the “NFTs – Money, Mindset and Mental Health” panel I excited shared what is to come from LMDesigns8.
My art was displayed in three different events during 2024 Miami Art Basel week at ZAO-CHELLA, BitBasel, OneHeart Love DAO.
I did my first open mic stage performance and rounded out the year with a total of three in person LIVE performances while hosting episode 140 of The Jam.
2025 brought many wonderful things due to my focus on XR. I was able to creative immersive activations for Mindful Drinking Fest 2025 as part of the wellness event. My favorites were the AR bowling I developed using 8th Wall and Mindful Drinking Fest @ AuraPlayHaus created with Spatial.io. In the AuraPlayHaus one can become different avatars, wrap yourselves in different auras, and have a fun play time, adults need so much. My art is on the Moooon! Being part of such amazing and powerful collaborations allowed the MiDi Punkz song to be included in such a galactic and historic event! I hosted my first technical workshop on building and using Spatial.io thanks to CreateHERFest. I love sharing how these ways are for everyone because the future is here and those who create intentionally have amazing things for you!
Being apart of Metaverse Fashion Conference 2025 and Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week were dreams brought to fruition! I loved being able to see and share wearables with my energies woven throughout worn by so many new and old friends / immersive fashionistas!!!
Taking the time to publish my poetry and not just be an author of a coloring book was probably one of my greatest accomplishments in 2026. Dear Self Diaries: A Phygital Poetry & Healing Journal Vol. 1 (LMDesigns8 Dear Self Diaries and Poetry). This is aliving book. As you grow, the experiences grow. As you shift, the art shifts. Your healing becomes interactive.
If it’s animated, a 3D asset, a world you can fly through, my spoken word each medium I use blends into another and I create art that meets the viewer where they are comfortable. From my healing jewelry, physical wearables, to geotagged artwork along your favorite places, in your favorite apps as filters, I have such delight adding dimensionality to my pieces that some understand now and others will overtime. Being the bridge between where I came from and where I am growing is so important to me. I want to share my journey over the past three years from PMP, Graphic Designers, freelance artist developer to the energy vibe mental health advocate inclusive emerging technology exploring soul I beam as today. Collaboration is the way and one of the best superpowers of this space, so keep your minds open. It not only had me become an international artist it’s fueled my art to be sent to the moon! It enabled me to use mediums I never imagined and allowed me to become part of some of the most amazing communities and work with creators that the world needs more of and to know, like these women! transcend time and space! My art is meant for many more than just me. Being a woman of color, mom with chronic pain, warrior who fits into no one box with my neourspicy ways want others to know they are not alone, we are here, you can too. I want to see us glow our best!
These are my beginnings of this wonderous season, and I am ecstatic about what I will develop next for all who are ready, willing, and wanting.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the road has not been smooth, the journey of a healing artist is not absent obstacles and challenges. My artwork I use as a way to heal and expand myself. If it’s my physical paint pours, my virtual worlds, my spoken words, or any other medium they were all created from the light and dark of my life’s story. I “cry” through the miccas I blend, I release through the embedded healing frequencies I make. I am a neurospicy STEM CIND artist who has been growing through many seasons and expressing myself through many mediums. Before I was able to articulate the healing that I needed I used dance and motion as a way to repair. That has carried on all my life and helps shape and mold the pieces I create today. With my scoliosis and Lyme disease I find that shifting mediums without regret gives me grace to allow whatever expression is lighting up the most within me to be seen by all wanting. “The cracks where the light comes out expose us all…” beam your light and turn those cracks into beauty unique to your story but that can light the path for so many others.

At Consensus 2026, I had the joy of diving deep into how I design immersive healing, energetic storytelling, and phygital realities that bridge the creative and decentralized worlds.
I brought “Galactic Fingerprint” #phygital artwork, which now lives within BitBasel’s Space Gallery at The Sagamore.
“Galactic Fingerprints” is a meditative paint‑pour done during lockdown, evolved into a full AR/XR portal with custom 3D assets & animation overlay. Built with my LMDesigns8 XR pipeline (IllustSpace, WorldCast.io, LensStudioDev, the8thwall). My work bridges physical art, immersive tech, & cosmic storytelling. At Speak Your Truth’s 10 year anniversary I was a vendor, a performer, and an activator! I was able to bring augmented reality workshop for unmasking to new life. Using illust AR Creator Studio I developed the map: https://lnkd.in/exhVQ5bj
Which holds the experiences I created to celebrate this amazing event. It included instructions, two face tracking mask, and surprise 3D assets.
The participants were able to draw on the coloring sheets or have me take their picture and then I updated the experience in real-time and they were able to wear their new masks! It was beautiful to watch what was created.

I was also able to vend and brought my paintings, handmade jewelry, elevation clips, essential oil rollers, and copies of Dear Self Diaries! Which I then got to preform pieces from!
This was my most successful and immersive event done without collaboration and completely solo. This was a powerful showcase of LMDesigns8 healing phygital ways!
