Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Shauger.
Hi Danielle, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
always been someone who loves creating and connecting with people. After high school, I got my masters in Aesthetics and became a licensed lash artist and eventually opened my own business, The Lash Cove. Building a business from the ground up taught me so much about entrepreneurship, consistency, and the importance of creating an experience where people feel confident, cared for, and excited to come back.
Becoming a mom has been the biggest turning point in my life. I now have two daughters, and while I still love running my business, motherhood has given me a completely different perspective on life. It’s taught me to slow down, appreciate the little moments, and embrace the unexpected. Balancing entrepreneurship with raising two little girls isn’t always easy, but it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences.
More recently, I’ve found myself enjoying the creative side of sharing everyday moments from this season of life on social media. It’s something that’s pushed me outside of my comfort zone and opened doors I never expected. I’m still at the beginning of that journey, but it’s been exciting to combine my love for creativity with the experiences I’m living every day.
Looking back, every chapter has helped shape who I am today. Whether it’s building my business, becoming a mom, or exploring new creative opportunities, I’m grateful for each step and excited to see where the next chapter leads.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wouldn’t say there has been one defining obstacle, but like any business owner, there have definitely been challenges along the way. Building a business takes consistency, patience, and a willingness to adapt. There are seasons where you’re incredibly busy and others where you have to work harder to keep growing.
More recently, learning to balance running my business while raising two young daughters has been my biggest challenge. Owning a business doesn’t stop when you become a mom, but motherhood has taught me how to prioritize, be more flexible, and give myself grace when everything doesn’t go exactly as planned.
Looking back, I think those everyday challenges have helped me grow the most. They’ve taught me resilience, reminded me that progress doesn’t always happen overnight, and shown me the importance of staying consistent even when life gets busy.

The Lash Cove is a luxury lash studio in Virginia Beach that I built from the ground up with the goal of creating more than just beautiful lashes. I wanted every client to feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely cared for from the moment they walked through the door.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of building lasting relationships with so many incredible women. Some of my clients have been with me for years, and getting to be part of their lives through milestones like weddings, pregnancies, career changes, and everything in between has been one of the most rewarding parts of owning my business.
I specialize in creating customized lash sets that enhance each client’s natural features rather than taking a one size fits all approach. I believe the little details matter, whether that’s taking the time to understand a client’s lifestyle, educating them on lash health, or making sure they leave feeling more confident than when they arrived.
What I’m most proud of isn’t just the business I’ve built, it’s the trust I’ve earned. My goal has always been to create an experience that people look forward to every few weeks, where they can relax, feel heard, and leave feeling like the best version of themselves.
What’s next?
Long term, I’d love to continue growing The Lash Cove while expanding into new opportunities that allow me to be creative and connect with people in different ways. I’m a big believer that you don’t have to stop pursuing new goals just because life changes. Right now, my focus is on raising my girls, continuing to provide an amazing experience for my clients, and staying open to wherever the next chapter leads.
