Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Finch.
Amanda, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I opened my business 5.5 years ago to help people try to not find themselves in situations myself and family have been in or if they do they have a reliable and knowledgeable business and person to work with to help them through it! I definitely didn’t get to where I am today on my own. I put myself through several private schools to obtain the knowledge and expertise I have today!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! I don’t think that any business has a smooth road all of the time though. Some of the struggles I’ve faced along the way are other people not believing in what I do or having them not like that it’s me doing what I do if they do believe in it at all. Those have been the biggest challenges. The clients that I have had though are amazing and very loyal, to which I’m thankful for, despite the challenges.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Your Life Matters, LLC?
At Your Life Matters LLC, we strive to make sure our clients are put first. I specialize in Mental Health Services from childhood through adults, a Human Rights Consultant & Advocate, Sustainability Advocate, and earned a distinction in Criminal Psychology as well! What sets me apart from others is that the assessment platform I use for mental health services is not to diagnose a client, but used for personal growth, which I have found that people progress at a faster rate when given the option of growth instead of being defined by a diagnosis. Some things I am most proud of with my brand are the books I’ve written and published, along with my coaching programs I’ve designed because they help so many people. Some services I offer are online assessments that are powered by AI so one doesn’t necessarily need an actual person to achieve their goals, and most of my coaching programs are available online as well!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Isabelle Vladoiu with the United States Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights trained me as a Human Rights Consultant and Advocate as well as a Sustainability Advocate, and taught me that my rights are not only sometimes and when convenient for another, but they are prevalent all the time and that they always matter! She also provided me with all the tools I needed to be able to teach others about their Human Rights. Her husband, Manuel Oancia has also opened many doors for me through his courses he offers with the United States Institute of Business and International Development.
Natalie & Joeel Rivera with the Transformation Academy trained me as a Master Life Coach, Master Mindset Life Coach, and Master Relationship Coach, as well as a Sobriety Coach, and taught me how to be able to help others in so many areas with these certifications and made me stronger in myself as I knew I wasn’t really crazy for how I thought, I just didn’t have the language to make sense of it all. They also provided me with all the tools and resources needed to be able to start and have my own coaching business!
Patrick Dahdal trained me as a Practitioner in NLP, Time Line Therapy, and Hypnotherapy, as well as a Personality Assessment Evaluator in the Human OS Potential Platform, and New Model of NLP as well, and much like Natalie and Joeel, has made me feel less crazy and more grounded with having the proper language, and has helped me be able to help so many other people because of what I’ve learned. He has provided many resources such as the manual for all courses to have as a reference to be able to refer to when helping clients and has written books as well to help!
Martize Tolbert, with the One Stop Shop, has helped me a ton with being able to help more people and have clients to help by working with him at the One Stop Shop. He has introduced me to other people that I can “partner” with to help others as well!
Charlottesville Police Department and Commonwealth Attorney’s Office has helped me with building trust in the community and each other and has made sure I’m safe!
Lots of friends have been very supportive of my business and what I do!
