Community Highlights: Meet Nora Munkh of EZcabinetry & Stone4kitchen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nora Munkh.

Hi Nora, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey has really been one of learning, hard work, and growing step by step. I didn’t start out with a perfect roadmap of where I wanted to be. A lot of what I’ve learned came from being hands-on, paying attention to what customers needed, and being willing to take on new challenges as they came.

Over the years, I became more involved in the cabinetry, countertop, design, and remodeling industry and learned the business from many different sides—from working directly with customers and helping with designs to understanding operations, installations, purchasing, and the day-to-day challenges of running a growing company.

As the business grew, so did my responsibilities and my vision for what we could become. One of the biggest things I noticed was how overwhelming remodeling can be for homeowners and contractors when they have to work with several different companies. That helped shape our focus on making the process easier by offering cabinetry, countertops, design, and installation in one place.

Today, I’m proud of how far we’ve come, but I still look at the business with the same mindset I had in the beginning: there is always something to improve, something new to learn, and another opportunity to take better care of our customers.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t the result of one big moment. It was a combination of consistency, long hours, mistakes, lessons, great people around me, and continuing to move forward even when things didn’t go exactly as planned. I’m excited about what we’ve built so far, but I feel like we’re still just getting started.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Growing Stone4Kitchen and EZCabinetry has come with plenty of challenges, from staffing and supply issues to managing growth and making sure we continue to provide the level of service our customers expect.

As the businesses grew, I had to learn how to build stronger systems, trust my team, and make difficult decisions along the way. There have been mistakes and setbacks, but each one taught me something valuable.

Looking back, I’m grateful for those challenges because they helped shape the businesses into what they are today.

We’ve been impressed with EZcabinetry & Stone4kitchen, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Stone4Kitchen and EZCabinetry are focused on making kitchen and remodeling projects easier, more affordable, and more enjoyable for our customers. We specialize in cabinetry, stone countertops, professional design, fabrication, delivery, and installation, allowing customers to handle much of their project through one team.

What sets us apart is our ability to combine wholesale-level pricing with a high level of service and customization. We work with homeowners, contractors, builders, and multifamily communities, offering everything from in-stock cabinetry with quick turnaround times to more customized cabinet options and a large selection of natural and engineered stone.

One of the things I’m most proud of is how much we have grown while still remaining a locally owned business. We have built strong teams, expanded our facilities and showrooms, and developed the capacity to handle projects of many different sizes without losing the personal attention that our customers value.

At the end of the day, we want people to know that great design and quality materials do not have to be complicated or out of reach. Our goal is to give customers more options, better value, and a team they can trust from the beginning of the project through installation.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My biggest advice is to believe in yourself, stay consistent, and never give up. When you’re starting a business, it’s easy to feel like you need to have everything figured out, but you really don’t.

Mistakes and setbacks are part of the process, and some of the best lessons come from things not going as planned. Surround yourself with good people, listen to your customers, and be willing to adjust along the way.

Most importantly, trust your vision and keep moving forward. Growth takes time, but if you stay committed and continue believing in what you’re building, the small steps eventually turn into something much bigger.
