Daily Inspiration: Meet Carson Crazé

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carson Crazé.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started making music on my phone using BandLab, teaching myself the basics and discovering how much I enjoyed creating. As my passion grew, I wanted to take my skills further and truly understand the technical side of music and media. I went on to pursue an education in Audio Engineering and Digital Cinematography through SAE Institute and Full Sail University, building on the skills I first developed from simply creating music on my phone.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been smooth, just disguised as bumpy. Looking back, I realize I’ve been given everything I needed to take my career to the next level. Some of the opportunities and resources I received were even free—things other people are paying thousands of dollars for. Education became one of the biggest ways I was able to build myself and gain access to knowledge I once couldn’t afford.

A lot of people used me, criticized me, questioned my choices, and tried to bring me down because of the career and degree I chose. Eventually, I stopped caring. I moved in silence, moved to a few new cities, and kept building.

Now I have skills in areas I once couldn’t afford to pay for. I’ve learned, grown, and built something that nobody can take away from me. Looking back, the road may have looked bumpy, but every step was leading me somewhere. **I can’t lose.**

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m Cárson Crazé, a multidisciplinary artist, music producer, rapper, vocalist, and creative. I specialize in hip-hop, lo-fi production, audio engineering, cinematography, and visual storytelling. I started making music on my phone through BandLab and eventually educated myself through Audio Engineering and Digital Cinematography programs at SAE Institute and Full Sail University.

I’m most proud of turning skills I once couldn’t afford into skills I can now create with myself. What sets me apart is my ability to work across multiple creative fields while bringing my background in dance, roller skating, music, and visuals into everything I do. I’ve learned to move in silence, keep building, and let the work speak for itself.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite memories was performing in the 6th grade talent show with my homie at the time, Jevell Dennis. We dressed up as the JABBAWOCKEEZ and performed together. Looking back, I’m realizing that the music they danced to actually inspired a lot of the way I approach production today. I didn’t even realize it at the time.

One day, I’m going to find Jevell again and change his life, just like that moment changed mine. As long as everything goes right with this journey, I’ll make sure he knows how much that moment meant to me.
