Life & Work with Andrea Green of National

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Green.

Hi Andrea, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began at 17 years old in Virginia, where I worked with Estée Lauder as one of their youngest account managers. That experience sparked my passion for beauty and inspired me to pursue greater opportunities, eventually leading me to relocate to New York City.

After moving to New York, I continued building my career at Sephora before transitioning to a European pharmacy, where I managed orders and contributed to the company’s website. During that time, I was recruited for an opportunity at Bergdorf Goodman, where I became an account manager for the British skincare brand The Organic Pharmacy, serving as its exclusive representative in New York City for the east coast.

Following my experience at Bergdorf Goodman, my career took another exciting direction when I began working as a consumer researcher through an independent research agency collaborating with the L’Oréal Group. This opportunity allowed me to participate in research involving upcoming beauty products being developed for the market and gain a deeper understanding of the industry beyond traditional retail.

Throughout these professional transitions, I continued pursuing my passion for content creation while navigating motherhood. Balancing my career, raising my daughter and developing my personal brand eventually opened doors to exciting opportunities, including becoming part of YSL Beauty’s exclusive Love Club in New York City.

Another significant milestone in my journey was becoming a signed professional model. Since then, my career has expanded into print modeling, fashion and entertainment. My work has been featured in Ulta Beauty both online and in stores, and my passion for cosplay opened the door to an appearance in a video game.

I’ve also had the opportunity to work as a background actress on a major motion picture and two Netflix productions. During New York Fashion Week, I received international fashion exposure through a feature in a UK magazine. I’ve also participated in Pause London’s gifting suite and continued developing relationships within the beauty, fashion and entertainment industries.

One of the most meaningful aspects of my journey has been accomplishing these milestones while raising my daughter. Motherhood has transformed my perspective on ambition, resilience and success. It has taught me that pursuing my dreams and being a present mother can coexist.

Beyond my professional career, I’m deeply passionate about giving back. I recently launched my first hunger-relief initiative, organizing a community drive that successfully provided 250 meals to individuals in need. This accomplishment was particularly meaningful because I believe success isn’t measured solely by personal achievements but also by the impact we have on our communities.

Looking back, my journey has been anything but traditional. From establishing myself in New York City’s luxury beauty industry to becoming a signed model and expanding into film and television, every experience has contributed to my personal and professional growth.

Today, I continue evolving as a model, content creator, beauty professional, mother and philanthropist. My story is a reminder that our journeys don’t have to follow a traditional timeline. We can reinvent ourselves, embrace new opportunities and pursue multiple passions while remaining grounded in what matters most.

I’m incredibly grateful for how far I’ve come, but I believe this is only the beginning of my story.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been anything but a smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been balancing motherhood, my professional career, and my passion for the beauty and fashion industries while navigating major life transitions.

As a single mother, I’ve had to learn how to pursue my dreams while remaining present for my daughter. Transitioning from working with established beauty companies to becoming a signed model and content creator required determination, sacrifice, and the courage to step outside my comfort zone.

There have been moments of rejection, uncertainty, and personal challenges, but my faith has remained my foundation. I’ve learned that success isn’t always about how quickly you reach your destination, but about your willingness to keep going when the journey becomes difficult.

Every obstacle has taught me resilience, independence, and the importance of believing in myself. I hope my journey inspires other women, especially single mothers, to understand that they don’t have to abandon their dreams simply because life takes an unexpected turn.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m Andrea Bridon Green, a signed model, customer researcher , beauty expert, content creator, and background actress with a passion for beauty, fashion, and storytelling. My professional journey began at 17, when I became an account manager for Estée Lauder in Virginia. My passion for beauty eventually led me to New York City, where I became the sole brand manager for a UK-based beauty brand at its only U.S. retail location. My career later expanded into consumer research with L’Oréal, where I currently research and evaluate upcoming beauty products. Throughout my journey, I’ve continued building my personal brand while creating beauty, skincare, fashion, and lifestyle content.

Two years ago, I became a signed model, opening doors to exciting opportunities in fashion and entertainment. Within the past six months, I’ve worked as a background actress on a major motion picture and two Netflix productions, appeared in a UK fashion publication during New York Fashion Week, and participated in beauty campaigns. My passion for cosplay also came full circle when it unexpectedly led to an opportunity to appear in a video game years later. What sets me apart is my ability to combine extensive beauty industry experience with creativity and storytelling. One of my proudest accomplishments is building this career while embracing motherhood, which has given my work an even greater purpose. Through my journey, I hope to inspire women to pursue their passions, embrace new opportunities, and believe that it’s never too late to reinvent themselves.

What makes you happy?
My greatest source of happiness is my daughter, Naomi. Watching her grow, discover the world, and develop her own personality brings me a joy that no professional accomplishment could ever replace. Motherhood has taught me the true meaning of unconditional love, patience, and purpose. Every day, she inspires me to become a better version of myself and reminds me why I work so hard to build the life I’ve always dreamed of. No matter where my career takes me, being her mother will always be my greatest blessing and proudest accomplishment.
