Hi Scott, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
SpeechLess Music was founded by Scott Kulman in 2011, originally starting as a small instrumental group focused on creating unique and interesting covers of familiar songs. The concept began with a combination of jazz and acoustic strings, bringing together talented musicians to reimagine music in a way that felt fresh and different.
The name SpeechLess Music comes from the idea of creating music that needs no words. From the beginning, the goal was to let the music speak for itself and create an experience that connects with people.
What started with Scott performing smaller gigs gradually grew into a full-service entertainment company, now performing hundreds of events each year throughout the Washington, D.C. area and beyond. Today, SpeechLess Music provides entertainment for weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, with musicians traveling nationally and internationally for select events.
At its heart, SpeechLess Music has grown from a simple idea: bring talented musicians together to create something special. While the company has expanded significantly since those early days, that original focus on musicianship, creativity, and the experience music creates for people remains central to what SpeechLess does today.

Like any growing business, SpeechLess Music has had its share of challenges along the way. Building a company in the live entertainment industry means navigating the unpredictability of events, finding the right musicians, and maintaining a consistent level of quality as the business grows. One of the biggest learning curves has been figuring out how to scale without losing the personal touch and musical integrity that made SpeechLess special in the first place. Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn, improve, and build a stronger foundation for the company.

SpeechLess Music is a full-service live entertainment company specializing in weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations. We offer everything from classical and pop strings to jazz ensembles, DJs, and full party bands, allowing us to create a cohesive entertainment experience for every part of an event.
