Today we’d like to introduce you to Britni Horton.
Hi Britni, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born and raised in Virginia, I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, and dogs have always held a special place in my heart. Murphy, my beloved Goldendoodle (7/2016–10/2025), was truly my soul dog and the inspiration behind Paws & Fuzzy Butts.
Today, I share my life with Norman, our Mini Aussiedoodle, our two bunnies, Henry and Peppy, and my wonderful supportive husband.
Fueled by my love for animals, I founded Paws & Fuzzy Butts LLC with a dream of one day opening a doggie daycare or dog hotel, while continuing to create unique and thoughtful gifts for pets. For now, I specialize in custom, made-to-order pet gift baskets for every occasion, along with fun pet inspired merchandise and apparel.
I absolutely love putting each basket together and knowing that something I created is bringing a little extra joy to pets and their families across the U.S.
By day, I’m a Marketing Project Manager. By night (and in between), I’m the owner of Paws & Fuzzy Butts and get to do what I love most.
I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported Paws & Fuzzy Butts, placed an order, shared a post, visited me at an event, or simply cheered me on along the way since 2017 when I started this business. The support truly means the world to me!
FUN FACT: Paws & Fuzzy Butts had the amazing opportunity to create a pet gift basket that was featured in the Amazon Prime movie Merv, starring Zooey Deschanel! Such a cool opportunity and definitely a memorable moment for my little business.
Catch me at vendor events around the Hampton Roads area of Virginia!
Be sure to follow along and check out Paws & Fuzzy Butts on Instagram and Facebook to see what I’m creating, where I’ll be popping up next, and all the furry friends who inspire it all!

With love and pawsitive vibes!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Like many small businesses, I’ve also navigated balancing passion with practicality, managing expenses, deciding where to invest time and resources, and learning through trial and error. Every event, order, and new idea has brought both successes and lessons.
Through it all, the biggest takeaway has been that small businesses are built one step at a time. The challenges have taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying connected to the reason I started: my love for animals and creating something meaningful that brings joy to others.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my day to day I am a Marketing Project Manager. I manage national marketing projects ensuring seamless implementation across each campaign.
For Paws & Fuzzy Butts I create thoughtful, personalized products inspired by my love for animals and the special bond we share with them. My business is centered around creating meaningful pieces that celebrate pets, memories, and the people who love them. I’m known for putting a lot of heart into what I create, paying attention to the little details, and making each order feel personal rather than mass-produced.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of building something of my own from an idea that came from something so personal to me. My business was inspired by Murphy, my soul dog, and what started as a way to honor that bond grew into something that allows me to connect with other animal lovers.
What sets you apart from others?
I think what sets me apart is the heart behind my business. I’m not just creating a product and sending it out. I genuinely care about the story behind each order and the person receiving it. I understand how deeply people love their pets because I’ve experienced that bond myself. I try to bring that understanding, along with a personal touch and attention to detail, into everything I create.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I loved animals just as much as I do today. There was always something so special about the unconditional love they gave, and animals have held a special place in my heart for as long as I can remember.
If I wasn’t outside playing with dogs, you could usually find me playing tennis, baking with my Grandma, creating something crafty, playing “manager,” dressing up, or having “coffee” (aka tea time). I’ve always loved the beach, being outdoors, and going on little adventures.
In high school, I was the captain of my tennis team, and made it to become district champions my senior year. Looking back, I think so many of the things I loved as a kid have carried right into who I am today. I still love animals tremendously, the beach and mountains, fashion, crafting, going to the gym, and the occasional game of tennis or pickleball. And, of course, I’m a big iced coffee lover! Somehow, my love of “playing manager” even turned into actually becoming a Project Manager.
I was a little shy when I was younger, but I quickly grew out of my shell and became the person I am today…someone who loves creating, staying busy, trying new things, and finding joy in the little things.
