Hi Amoni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Oooo where do I beginnn??? This may sound cliche but Ive literally loved music for as long as I can remember ….
I still remember certain songs I sing to this day that I’ve apparently been listening/singing since i was a 4-5 years old lol
.
I started actually taking music seriously in Oct 2019.. I signed up for DJ class/lessons at MTS (Music Theory Studios- Turntable Institute ) in Norfolk, VA. That was my first time actually putting my hands on some turntables … hearing the music … certain instruments … I could hear a little differently than when im sitting at home with my headphones on listening to music.
And the rest is history!

Ive been on a couple internet radio stations(DJing/mixing)
DJ’d for venues
Made my own mixes and put them out there !

Im just overall blessed with my decision because it has opened alot of doors and DJing is not the only thing I want to do. I want to Produce/Compose/ learn to play some more instruments —-just all the things that involve music .. Im for it lol
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Oh noooo… helllllll nah… lol
I think the MAIN thing is and even me getting OUT my head… and just doing it.

Ive always been a “behind the scenes”type person … I can encourage others ALL day long but when it comes to me??? … im runningggggg behind the curtainssss 😂😂. My family/friends will hype me up but ill be overthinking everything “Imma Artist and I’m sensitive about my shit” BASICALLY.

You want things to be perfect … but you also have life to deal with and bills etc. it become overwhelming.. but always worth it

I am/do many things lol but I am a DJ… I don’t specialize in one type of genre … i like to be versatile and also still learning along the way…

I looooove seeing people expressions when I play certain songs that they maybe haven’t heard in awhile OR just didnt think i would put ON /MIX together .. Im definitely known for that even if I play music on my phone
… I loooove taking people on a musical journey. .. the “OMG I havent heard this song in foreverrrrr“ i live for those moments lol 😊

It’s my faith in God honestly and aint all roses because you still question yourself but he really does give you EVERYTHING you need but bbbboy is it scary?? Yessssss lol
taking a leap out on faith doing anything is to be honest …but every rewarding
