Check Out Sergio Palacios’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sergio Palacios.

Hi Sergio, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Born in El Salvador, I was drawn to the world of gyms, healthy nutrition, and a fitness-oriented lifestyle from a young age. Unfortunately, it was very difficult for me to pursue this path in my home country, so in 2019, I made the decision to move to the United States to start a new life—just like any other immigrant. Upon arrival, I faced many challenges, yet I never lost sight of my commitment to health and a positive lifestyle. Balancing everything was incredibly difficult, as I was working two jobs that left me with almost no free time. In 2021, shortly after the pandemic, I began to gain some popularity on social media, consistently focusing on a fitness lifestyle. My best friend, Alex Montenegro, always encouraged me, reminding me that I could achieve more if I truly set my mind to it. With that motivation, I kept going—eventually moving down to just one job—and began to immerse myself further in gym training and learning about proper nutrition. I gained a large following across my various social media channels; today, I have around 100,000 followers across all my platforms, and that number continues to grow every day. When you do something you love, and people look up to you as an example to follow, it fills every void in your life.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The change of language upon arriving in a foreign country, the fast pace of life I experienced in a country so different from my own, being away from my family—all while navigating an immigration process.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I currently work at the best gym in Richmond, Virginia—ACAC Fitness—and I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn something new every single day from all the trainers there.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
My motto is: you are the master of your own life and the one who makes your own decisions; a person with fortitude, discipline, and purpose can reach wherever they truly wish to go.
