Conversations with Eileen Pantich Gabriela Carrillo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eileen Pantich Gabriela Carrillo.

Hi Eileen Pantich, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The tale of Peek a Look Boutique begins with two best friends (Gabriela and Eileen) and a shared dream to explore the world. Inspired by diverse cultures and fueled by an unending passion for beautiful children’s clothing, they embarked on a life-altering journey. Their mission became beautifully simple yet far-reaching: to capture the extraordinary moments, tenderness, and delicate designs they encountered on the road and bring them home to families across the USA.

Today, Peek a Look elevates the standard of children’s boutique fashion by bridging the gap between global inspiration and everyday excellence. Driven by our core pillars of Variety, Quality, and Innovation, we meticulously curate garments from international fashion hubs stretching from California to Germany, Spain, Poland, and the United Kingdom. We exist to fill the void left by conventional retailers, offering a sophisticated yet charming wardrobe for modern, independent parents who want their little ones to stand out.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely required a lot of hustle! One of our most memorable challenges was when we introduced our curated First Communion dress collection. We wanted to connect deeply with our community, which meant physically knocking on the doors of local churches and schools to get permission to showcase our designs. It took a lot of courage and persistence to open those doors, but it allowed us to build real, lasting relationships with the families we serve today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
While our roots are in real estate and finance, we look at our professional background as a gift of care. It gave us the precision and devotion to handle an intricate global supply chain with total love and strict quality control. But what truly fills our hearts and sets us apart is how we bring that very same dedication home to our local community.

We offer exclusive, private pop-up and try-on events tailored specifically for local families. These events turn dress shopping into an unforgettable, magical experience where young girls get the joy of choosing their perfect First Communion or Flower Girl dress in a warm, intimate setting, leaving moms completely stress-free and happy.

We are most proud of our willingness to combine this professional precision with a boots-on-the-ground hustle. In our early days, we personally knocked on the doors of local academies and churches to introduce our collections. We took the resilience we learned in property and finance and poured it straight into our neighborhood, building a brand that stands for premium quality, absolute trust, and a truly personalized customer experience.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, neither of us was content with the status quo. We were highly driven, intensely curious kids who were utterly obsessed with two things: the idea of owning our own business one day, and a massive desire to discover the world.

On one side of our duo, this curiosity manifested as a deep fascination with, travel, and cultures. There was an early obsession with how different cultures lived, how they celebrated their traditions, and how those cultural roots shaped people’s everyday lives. On the other side, the energy was firmly focused on strategy, leadership, and enterprise. This meant an early love for business logic, structure, and finance—always looking for creative neighborhood ventures to launch or local projects to coordinate.

Despite our individual focuses, our personalities completely aligned when it came to grit and global vision. We were the kids who looked past our own backyards, dreaming of exploring the globe and building something meaningful from the ground up.

That shared determination and cultural curiosity is exactly what carried us through our corporate careers in real estate and finance. Decades later, when we finally traveled the world together, we saw how beautifully children’s clothing reflected the local traditions and tenderness of different cultures. We poured all of our childhood business dreams right into Peek a Look—proving that we were always wired to take the path of grit, discovery, and entrepreneurship.
