Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebekah Laur’en.
Hi Rebekah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Music came naturally to me long before formal training. I later studied as a classically trained vocalist in college, which gave me a strong technical and disciplinary foundation. As my artistry evolved, songwriting, producing, and composing became just as central as singing, leading me to step fully into independence and ownership of my creative direction.
Today, I’m an independent artist and entrepreneur working internationally, including collaborations with an independent label in Berlin. I’m building more than individual releases, I’m building a creative enterprise rooted in intention, evolution, and longevity.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning to unlearn limitations both external expectations and the ones I placed on myself. Navigating independence meant figuring out the business side of artistry, advocating for my value, and staying grounded through periods of uncertainty.
Those challenges ultimately sharpened my vision. They taught me patience, self-trust, and how to move with intention rather than urgency. Every obstacle became part of the foundation I’m building now.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a multidisciplinary artist specializing in writing, producing, composing, and performing my own music. Sonically, my work blends pop, R&B, and dance with strong melodic structure, rich harmonies, and emotionally driven vocals. My background in classical training shows up in the precision of my vocal delivery, while my production leans modern, immersive, and rhythm-forward.
What I’m most proud of is crafting a sound that feels both polished and personal while maintaining full creative ownership. What sets me apart is my ability to merge technical vocal strength with contemporary production, allowing me to create music that’s emotionally resonant, sonically elevated, and built for longevity rather than trends.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Self-trust paired with discipline. Trusting my instincts while staying consistent and committed has allowed me to grow with clarity, build momentum over time, and create work that’s aligned rather than rushed.
