Hi Aditi, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Aditi Bangad, and I am the Principal Designer and Founder of Vishok Interiors.
With a Master’s in Computer Applications and over 15 years of experience as an IT professional, my passion for aesthetics and love for creating captivating environments led me to establish my interior design studio.
My journey into interior design began organically when friends and family sought my help in decorating their homes. As word spread and project requests grew, I officially launched my boutique interior design and décor company, dedicated to transforming ordinary spaces into extraordinary havens infused with personality and purpose.
Vishok Interiors was born from a vision to redefine interior design by setting new standards of creativity and craftsmanship.
On a personal note, I am a proud wife to a charming Aries and a devoted mother to a talented teenager son and an artistic daughter. Beyond design, I am a skillful cook and a nimble-footed Kathak dancer, finding joy in both artistry and rhythm.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No journey is ever completely smooth, and mine has definitely been a mixed bag of learning, growth, and resilience.
Starting Vishok Interiors has been incredibly rewarding, but like any business, it came with its share of challenges. In the beginning, one of the biggest struggles was transitioning my passion into a structured business, learning how to balance creativity with timelines, budgets, client expectations, vendor coordination, and the operational side of running a company.
Working with clients has also taught me a lot. Some clients have been an absolute joy to work with: open, trusting, collaborative, and appreciative of the design process. Then there have been projects that were more challenging, where expectations, decision-making, timelines, or communication required extra patience and clarity. But every client experience, easy or difficult, has helped me grow as a designer and as a business owner.
Interior design is very personal because we are working inside someone’s home, their comfort zone, and their lifestyle. That means emotions, preferences, budgets, and expectations all play a big role. Over time, I have learned the importance of clear communication, setting boundaries, documenting scope, and guiding clients with both professionalism and empathy.
So no, it has not always been a smooth road. But every challenge has shaped Vishok Interiors into a stronger, more thoughtful, and more client-focused design studio. The difficult moments taught me discipline, patience, and process, while the beautiful transformations and happy clients remind me why I started this journey in the first place.

At Vishok Interiors, we specialize in creating elegant, functional, and personalized spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle, personality, and vision. Our work ranges from full-room transformations and interior styling to design consultations, décor selections, furniture planning, color consultations, organizing solutions, and curated design recommendations.
We are known for blending beauty with functionality. For us, a space should not only look stunning but also feel comfortable, practical, and meaningful for the people living in it. Whether it is a cozy family room, a peaceful bedroom, a stylish dining area, a functional pantry, or a complete home refresh, our goal is to create spaces that feel elevated yet livable.
One of the things I am most proud of is the trust we have built with our clients. Many of our projects have come through referrals, which means a lot to me because it shows that clients not only love the final outcome but also value the process and experience of working with us. I am also proud that Vishok Interiors has grown from a passion project into a recognized boutique design studio serving families across Virginia and beyond.
What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our personalized approach, and our ability to understand the client beyond just their design preferences. We take time to learn how they live, what challenges they face in their space, what their budget is, and what feeling they want their home to create. Every project is treated uniquely; we do not believe in copy-paste design.
My background in IT also gives me a strong sense of structure, planning, organization, and execution, which helps me manage design projects with clarity and professionalism. At the same time, my creative side brings warmth, beauty, and storytelling into every space.
At the heart of Vishok Interiors is a simple belief: every home has potential. With the right vision, thoughtful design, and personal touch, even the simplest space can become beautiful, functional, and deeply loved.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I truly believe that no success story is built alone. My family and friends have played a huge role in my journey and in the growth of Vishok Interiors.
My family has been my biggest support system, encouraging me to follow my passion and helping me balance the many roles I play as a designer, entrepreneur, wife, and mother. Their belief in me gave me the confidence to turn my creative passion into a professional business.
My friends have also been incredible cheerleaders. Many of them trusted me in the early stages, invited me to help with their homes, referred me to others, and helped spread the word about my work. Their encouragement and word-of-mouth support played a big role in helping Vishok Interiors grow organically.
Most importantly, I give a lot of credit to my clients. The majority of my new clients, almost 95%, come through referrals, and that speaks volumes. When clients love the work, trust the process, and then refer Vishok Interiors to their family and friends, it is one of the biggest compliments and strongest validations of the work we do.
Every client has contributed to my growth in some way, whether through their trust, feedback, appreciation, collaboration, or referrals. Their support has helped Vishok Interiors grow from a passion-driven idea into a business built largely on relationships, trust, and word of mouth.
So yes, my journey has been supported by many people: my family, my friends, my clients, and everyone who believed in Vishok Interiors before it became what it is today. Their love, trust, and encouragement continue to inspire me every day.
