Today we’d like to introduce you to Angelia Copeland.
Hi Angelia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story has been one of beginnings, rebuilding, faith, and discovering that even the difficult parts of our lives can have purpose.
I became a mother at 16, married at 17, and earned my GED after leaving high school during my senior year. My life did not begin according to a perfect plan, but I learned early how to keep moving forward. I was also adopted and raised by my aunt and uncle after losing my biological mother shortly after my birth. For many years, there were pieces of my own story that I didn’t fully understand.
As an adult, my journey took me through marriage, motherhood, loss, career changes, ministry, and my own personal seasons of starting over. Faith became a major foundation in my life, and over time I developed a passion for helping people understand wellness as something that involves the whole person—not just the body, but the mind and spirit as well.
That passion eventually led me to establish A New Beginning Wellness, built around the idea of bridging the gap between spirit, mind, and body. From there came Abundant Treasures Tea, my handcrafted tea brand. What began as an extension of wellness has grown into another creative way for me to encourage people to slow down, care for themselves, and discover the value in everyday moments.
Most recently, another longtime dream became reality when I published my memoir, The Thread That Wove the Way. Writing the book allowed me to look back over my life and recognize something I couldn’t always see while I was living it: the experiences that once seemed disconnected were actually threads. The joys, losses, questions, mistakes, faith, family, and new beginnings were all weaving something.
Today, I’m an author, wellness advocate, tea creator, speaker, and ministry leader, but I see all of those roles as connected. At this stage of my life, I’m less interested in simply collecting titles and more interested in using what I’ve lived and learned to encourage other people—especially those who may think it’s too late to begin again.
If there is one message running through everything I do, it is the same message that runs through my book: Every thread has a purpose. Trust the Weaver.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. There have been many seasons of uncertainty, loss, disappointment, rebuilding, and learning how to keep moving even when I did not have all the answers.
I became a mother very young, married young, and had to grow up quickly. I also carried questions connected to adoption, identity, and family history that took years to fully understand. There were times when I had to rebuild emotionally, spiritually, financially, and professionally.
I have experienced career changes, personal losses, difficult relationships, and seasons when the vision I had for my life seemed delayed. Building businesses has brought its own challenges as well—learning as I go, working with limited resources, staying consistent, and continuing to believe in what I am building even when the results are not immediate.
One of the greatest lessons has been learning that setbacks do not always mean stop. Sometimes they mean adjust, grow, or begin again differently.
My faith has been the anchor through all of it. The struggles have shaped the way I lead, create, write, and encourage others today. They are also a big part of why the message of new beginnings means so much to me personally. I am not speaking about starting over from theory. I have lived it.
Looking back now, I can see that many of the hardest seasons became part of the foundation for the work I am doing today.
As you know, we’re big fans of A New Beginning Wellness, LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
A New Beginning Wellness, LLC was created from my belief that true wellness involves the whole person—spirit, mind, and body. My goal has always been to encourage people to recognize that wellness is not simply about what we eat or how much we exercise. It is also about how we think, how we care for ourselves, how we navigate life’s transitions, and how we continue growing.
One of the brands that has grown from that vision is Abundant Treasures Tea, my handcrafted loose-leaf tea line. Its motto is “Discover the Wealth in Every Cup.” I create blends designed around intentional experiences—from energy and focus to slowing down and creating moments of calm. For me, tea is more than a beverage; it can become part of a ritual of pausing and caring for yourself.
My work has also expanded into writing and speaking. In 2026, I published my memoir, The Thread That Wove the Way, which explores faith, family, identity, resilience, and the experiences that shaped my life. Through the book and my speaking, I encourage people to understand that where they started does not have to determine where they finish.
What I believe sets my work apart is that these things are not separate projects created just to build businesses. They grew naturally from my own life. I have had to begin again more than once, so when I talk about wellness, resilience, faith, or new beginnings, I am speaking from lived experience.
I am most proud that the different pieces are beginning to come together under one larger purpose: helping people live intentionally, care for the whole person, and recognize that it is never too late for a new beginning.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I’ve learned that networking doesn’t always have to look like “networking.” Sometimes it’s simply having a conversation, telling someone what you’re doing, listening to what they’re doing, and allowing a genuine connection to happen.
I haven’t had one formal mentor who has guided me through everything. I’ve learned from different people along the way, and I believe there is something to learn from almost everyone. When I do seek advice from someone, I pay attention to their character as much as their accomplishments.
What has worked for me is showing up, talking to people, asking questions, and being willing to put myself out there. I’m naturally a people person, so I enjoy making connections. I’ve also learned that you never know where one conversation might lead.
My advice would be: don’t go into every room wondering what somebody can do for you. Be genuine. Be interested in people. Tell them what you’re doing, but listen to what they’re doing too. And don’t be afraid to ask questions. Sometimes the person who can help you take your next step is already in your circle—you just haven’t had the conversation yet.
