Hi Annimari, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey started from a place of wanting to create something of my own and build a better future for myself and my family. For many years, I worked in quality control and later in retail, but I always felt drawn to creativity, branding, and helping small businesses present themselves in a more professional way.
Over time, I began helping people with logos, flyers, business cards, promotional materials, social media content, websites, and other branding needs. What started as small projects gradually became something much bigger, and that is how Ruminelly Digital Branding was born.
Building my business has not been easy. I have had to learn new tools, improve my skills, balance work and family responsibilities, and keep moving forward even during difficult personal and financial moments. But every challenge has helped me grow stronger and more determined.
Today, Ruminelly Digital Branding is focused on helping entrepreneurs and small businesses build a professional image, improve their visibility, and grow with confidence. I especially enjoy working with people who have a great idea or talent but need help presenting it in a way that attracts customers.
I am still growing, learning, and expanding the business, but I am proud of how far I have come. My goal is to continue developing Ruminelly into a full-service creative and digital branding company that can support entrepreneurs from the beginning of their idea through the growth of their business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has definitely not been a completely smooth road. One of my biggest challenges has been building a business while also working, raising my two children as a single mother, and managing many responsibilities at the same time.
I have had to learn many things on my own, including design tools, branding, digital marketing, websites, content creation, and how to better understand what small business owners really need. There were times when I doubted myself, had limited resources, or felt overwhelmed, but I kept learning and finding ways to move forward.
Being a single mother has also given me a deeper sense of purpose. I want my children to see that even when life is difficult, you can continue growing, reinvent yourself, and work toward your dreams. I also hope my story can encourage other women, especially mothers who may feel afraid to start over or pursue something of their own.
Another challenge has been learning how to value my work, set fair prices, communicate professionally with clients, and create systems that allow me to grow instead of doing everything manually.
Every obstacle has taught me something. I have become more creative, more patient, and more confident in my ability to solve problems. I am still learning, but I now see challenges as part of the process of becoming a stronger entrepreneur and building a business with a solid foundation.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like most about Northern Virginia is the diversity and the opportunities. There are people from so many different cultures and backgrounds, and that creates a strong community for entrepreneurs and small businesses. I also like that there is always something new to learn, new people to meet, and many opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
What I like least is probably the cost of living and how fast-paced life can be. It can sometimes feel challenging to balance work, family, and building a business in such a busy area. At the same time, those challenges have also pushed me to become more organized, creative, and determined.
