Today we’d like to introduce you to Niki Roman.
Hi Niki, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I had been working at USPS for years and wanted a change. I initially wanted to do Lash Extension services, but you have to be licensed by the state. So I went ahead and started school for Esthetics, I got my license and ‘started’ my business. Not too long after, I decided lashing was not for me. I continued working for USPS but wanted to do something with my license. My waxer suggested me working at the company she was working for. At first I was against being a waxer, especially Brazilian waxes. A few months later, I decided to just go for it part time. A month later, I left USPS to work full time as a body waxer. A year later, after thinking and praying about it, I leaped out on faith and opened my own business in 2022. Since then my business has grown successfully. I’ve met so many awesome people and have created relationships and celebrated milestones with my ‘extended family’.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. When I first started working for the company, I lost my brother while at work. I didn’t even want to go back to work because that’s where I was when I got the call. Two years later, when I had already opened my own business, I had my first seizure while waxing a client. Ten months after that, I was diagnosed with epilepsy. Three years later and I’m still dealing with them. I also recently lost my father due to cancer. Running your own business and dealing with life at the same time can be a lot, especially when you have to miss work.

I now am doing full body waxes specifically BRAZILIANS! It’s crazy how I now love something I was once against doing. I make everyone feel welcomed and judgement free. I like to make my clients feel comfortable, because at the end of the day this appointment is for them! I love my clientele and their support and reviews.
Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories was when my father told me ‘I don’t have a favorite, but there’s something special about you.’ Since then I became the hard working person I am, like my father was.
