Today we’d like to introduce you to Virginie Delaitre.
Hi Virginie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career in France in 2012, first as a developer building mobile apps, then moving into design and eventually marketing strategy. Over those years, I built products, led teams, and developed a deep interest in how users think and make decisions, which became the foundation for everything I do today.
In 2019, I moved to the United States and settled in the Northern Virginia area. I retrained in interior design and UX, which deepened my understanding of user behavior and spatial thinking. In October 2021, I founded VDS Digital, a marketing and strategy consultancy based in Fairfax County, working with startups and small businesses on go-to-market strategy, UX, and growth.
Through that work, I kept running into the same problem. Most marketing frameworks are built around channels and tactics, not around how users actually think and behave. So in 2023, I developed UX Marketing©, a methodology that puts user experience at the center of marketing strategy. I published it, copyrighted it in 2025, and this month I launched UX Marketing HQ, the SaaS product built on that methodology.
My focus moving forward is working with founders and small teams on marketing strategy, AI, automation, and vibe coding development, while growing UX Marketing HQ as a product.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been smooth, and I think it is important to say that out loud.
When I arrived in the United States in 2019, I had no network, no local reputation, and no connections in the business community. Building that from scratch as a French woman in a new country, in a tech and marketing space that is still largely male-dominated, has been one of the hardest parts of this journey.
There is a specific challenge that I still navigate today. From the outside, my work looks successful, the industry awards, the product launch, the client results, and that visibility can actually work against me. People assume things are going well and do not reach out with concrete opportunities. The projects and consulting engagements I am best suited for do not always find their way to me, not because the skills are not there, but because the assumption is that I do not need them.
Building a business as a woman in tech means constantly proving yourself in rooms where the default assumption is not in your favor. It means working twice as hard for visibility, and then sometimes finding that visibility creates a different kind of invisibility.
I keep going because the work is real, the methodology works, and the best is still ahead.
We’ve been impressed with VDS Digital, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
VDS Digital is my company, founded in Reston in 2021. Over the years, it has evolved from a traditional marketing agency into something more focused and more personal. Today it operates across three areas.
The first is UX Marketing HQ, a SaaS product I built and launched this month. It is a complete marketing operating system for founders and small teams, built on the UX Marketing© methodology. Users can plan their year, define their audience, generate on-brand content, and track their results, all in one place. It is not a generic AI tool. It is a structured system designed around how users actually think and behave.
The second is consulting and project-based work. I work with a small number of founders and early-stage teams on marketing strategy, AI integration, n8n automation, and vibe coding development. These are focused engagements where I come in to solve a specific problem, build something real, and hand it off. Earlier this year, I led a full SaaS platform rebuild for a client from zero to live in three weeks. That is the kind of work I take on.
The third is white-label and agency partnerships. For agencies that want to offer a branded marketing system to their clients, UX Marketing HQ can be deployed under their own brand. It is a way for small agencies to add a methodology-driven product to their offering without building it themselves.
What sets VDS Digital apart is the methodology behind everything. UX Marketing© is a copyrighted framework I developed and published in 2025. It is not a trend or a tool. It is a way of thinking about marketing that starts with the user, not the channel or the funnel.
What I am most proud of is that it works. The results speak for themselves; from healthcare startups to proptech platforms, the methodology delivers. Some case studies are on my website if you want to see numbers.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
This one is a little unexpected. When I was a teenager, I built my own website about Mandalorians, the armor-clad warriors from the Star Wars universe. At the time, almost no one knew what they were. My community was maybe ten people. We were a tiny group of geeks who had found each other online around something most people ignored completely.
Looking back, it was already an attempt to do what I do now: find the right people, build something for them, and create a space where they felt seen. I did not have the vocabulary for it then, but it was user-first thinking before I knew what that meant. You find a niche, you build for them, and you show up consistently.
The funny part is that Mandalorians are now one of the most popular corners of the Star Wars universe. Nobody remembers where it started. I do.
I later became part of an official Star Wars approved cosplay group, which unexpectedly became one of the threads that led me to move to the United States. Life takes you places you never plan for.
