Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Glasscock.
Hi Alexandra, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My Story: The Heart Behind Seventh Sky
Seventh Sky began long before it became a business. It began with my journey as a mother.
When my son was two years old, he was diagnosed with autism. Over the next several years, our family also faced diagnoses of PANDAS, OCD, tic disorder and ADHD. Like so many parents of children with complex needs, I wanted to understand what was happening beneath the surface and find ways to support my child as a whole person.
We explored many different approaches along the way. I spent countless hours learning, researching, asking questions and trying to understand my son’s individual needs. That experience changed me. It taught me how overwhelming it can feel to be a parent searching for answers, and how important it is to feel heard.
Eventually, my journey led me to homeopathy and later to other holistic approaches. What began as something deeply personal gradually became a passion. I became fascinated by the individuality of each person—their physical experiences, emotions, sensitivities, personality, history and environment—and by the idea of looking at the whole picture rather than only one piece of it.
As I continued studying and developing my practice, I realized that I wanted to create the kind of space I had once been searching for myself.
That became Seventh Sky.
Based in Colonial Heights, Virginia, Seventh Sky is a holistic wellness practice centered around children, families and individuals who are looking for highly personalized support. My work includes homeopathy and Transference Healing, with each client approached as an individual rather than as a diagnosis.
One of the most important things my own journey has taught me is the value of listening.
When a family comes to me, I don’t want them to feel rushed. My initial consultations can last up to two hours because I want to understand their story—the child’s history, personality, sensitivities, emotional patterns, sleep, digestion, stress responses and the experiences that have shaped them.
For parents of children with complex needs, simply having the space to tell that whole story can be meaningful.
My goal with Seventh Sky is to create an environment where families feel respected, supported and genuinely heard while they explore complementary approaches to wellbeing alongside the healthcare that is appropriate for their child.
There is also a deeper personal meaning behind Seventh Sky.
Through my own experiences, I came to believe that wellbeing isn’t always about becoming someone different. Sometimes it is about reconnecting with ourselves and creating the conditions in which greater balance, clarity and resilience can emerge.
Today, when I meet another parent who has spent years searching, researching and wondering what else they can do for their child, I understand that feeling on a very personal level.
I have been that parent.
That connection is at the heart of my work.
Seventh Sky grew from my family’s journey, but my hope is that it can now be a place of compassion, individualized attention and support for other families in our community.
For me, this work isn’t simply a profession. It grew out of motherhood, curiosity, persistence and a desire to turn one family’s difficult journey into something that might help another family feel a little less alone.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the greatest challenges on my journey was learning how to navigate the uncertainty that comes with parenting a child with complex needs. There were many moments when I felt overwhelmed by the amount of information, different opinions, and decisions that had to be made. I wanted to understand my son as a whole person rather than focusing only on individual symptoms or labels but finding the right kind of support often took persistence, research, and patience.
Another challenge was simply learning to trust my own voice as a mother. When you are surrounded by specialists, appointments, recommendations, and conflicting information, it can be easy to feel as though everyone else knows your child better than you do. Over time, I learned the importance of asking questions, listening carefully, continuing to educate myself, and recognizing the value of a parent’s observations.
Turning that personal experience into a professional path brought a completely different set of challenges. Building Seventh Sky required me to move from being someone searching for answers for my own family to someone creating a space where other families could feel heard and supported. That meant continuing my education, developing confidence in my work, learning how to run a business, and finding the right way to communicate what I offer.
As a small-business owner, there are practical challenges as well. You wear many hats. In addition to working with clients, there is scheduling, administration, marketing, maintaining a website, continuing education, and building relationships within the community. Learning how to balance those responsibilities while still giving each client the time and attention they deserve has been an ongoing process.
Another important challenge has been explaining holistic and complementary approaches in a way that is clear and responsible. Not everyone is familiar with homeopathy or Transference Healing, and people naturally have questions. I have learned that education, transparency, and open communication are essential. I want families to understand what I offer while also recognizing that complementary wellness services are not a replacement for appropriate medical care.
Perhaps the biggest lesson behind all of these challenges has been patience. Building a practice, supporting a family, and growing personally do not happen overnight. There have been moments of uncertainty and times when the next step was not immediately clear, but those experiences have helped shape the way I work today.
They have taught me to listen more deeply, remain curious, keep learning, and give people the space to tell their whole story.
In many ways, the obstacles themselves became part of the foundation of Seventh Sky. They helped me understand what it feels like to search for support, to have unanswered questions, and to simply want someone to listen.
That understanding is something I carry with me whenever I meet a new family.
We’ve been impressed with Seventh Sky Services, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Seventh Sky is a holistic wellness practice in Colonial Heights created to provide individualized, gentle support for children, families, and adults, I always think of it as a place where healing happens above the noise!!!
What makes my work different is that I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person who comes to Seventh Sky has their own history, sensitivities, experiences, and individual needs, so I take the time to look at the whole person and create a very personalized experience.
One of the main services I offer is homeopathy. Homeopathy is an individualized complementary wellness approach in which remedies are selected according to the person’s overall picture. My initial consultations are intentionally thorough because I want enough time to listen carefully, understand the client’s history, and learn about the many different factors that make them unique.
I also offer Transference Healing®, an energy-based wellness practice. These sessions provide a quiet, supportive environment focused on relaxation, balance, self-awareness, and overall wellbeing. Every session is different because it is centered around the individual and where they are at that particular point in their journey.
Another part of my practice includes CEASE/HDT, which I offer as a complementary holistic approach for families looking for additional individualized wellness support.
Much of my work is with children and families navigating complicated or long-standing concerns. These families often come to Seventh Sky looking for something highly personalized and for a practitioner who is willing to take the time to hear their complete story.
That time is very important to me.
Rather than rushing through an appointment, I want my clients to feel that they have space to talk, ask questions, and share the details that matter to them. I believe that getting to know the individual—not simply focusing on a label—is an important part of providing thoughtful holistic support.
Seventh Sky brings these different approaches together under one roof while maintaining the same philosophy throughout: gentle, individualized care centered around the whole person.
My goal is to provide a calm and welcoming space where clients and families feel listened to, respected, and supported as they explore complementary approaches to their overall wellbeing.
Seventh Sky’s services are complementary wellness services and are intended to work alongside, rather than replace, appropriate medical care.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are many ways people can connect with and support Seventh Sky.
For those interested in working with me personally, I offer individualized holistic wellness support through homeopathy, Transference Healing®, and complementary approaches. The best place to begin is with a complimentary 15-minute discovery call, where we can connect, discuss what you are looking for, and see whether Seventh Sky feels like the right fit for you or your family.
I also welcome collaboration with other practitioners, wellness professionals, educators, and community members who share a desire to support individuals and families in a thoughtful and compassionate way. I believe there is great value in working alongside others while respecting the unique role each professional brings to a person’s support team.
Referrals are another meaningful way to support Seventh Sky. If someone knows a child, parent, family, or individual who may be looking for gentle, personalized complementary wellness support, simply sharing my information or telling them about Seventh Sky can make a meaningful difference.
I am also open to opportunities within the local community—whether that means connecting with other small businesses, participating in wellness events, educational conversations, or building relationships with professionals who serve children, families, and adults.
And sometimes support can be as simple as following Seventh Sky online, sharing a post, recommending the business to someone who may benefit from learning about it, or leaving an honest review after working with me.
At the heart of Seventh Sky is connection. I want to continue building a community where people feel heard, respected, and supported, and I welcome relationships with others who believe in that same kind of care.
