Today we’d like to introduce you to Dalal Salomon.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Building a business is never a straight line, and our journey has certainly had its share of challenges. While we’ve experienced tremendous growth and have been fortunate to work with extraordinary clients, we’ve also learned that success is tested most during difficult times.
One of the biggest lessons we’ve learned is that your values have to remain constant, especially when circumstances are anything but. Integrity, transparency, and putting clients first aren’t just words on our website—they’re principles that have guided every decision we’ve made.
Like many businesses, we’ve faced unexpected setbacks and periods that tested our resilience. Those experiences reinforced something we had always believed: relationships are everything. The trust our clients have placed in us over the years has been the foundation that allowed us to keep moving forward and emerge even stronger.
Looking back, I wouldn’t describe the journey as easy, but I would absolutely describe it as rewarding. Every challenge has taught us something valuable, made us better leaders, and strengthened the culture we’ve worked so hard to build.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At Salomon & Ludwin, we believe that to truly make a meaningful impact, financial advice should improve every aspect of a client’s financial life—not just their investment portfolio. While investment management is certainly an important part of what we do, it’s only one piece of a much bigger picture.
Our firm was built around what we call our Four Pillar Approach: Cash Flow Engineering, Risk Management, Tax Efficiency, and Documentation & Coordination. We work closely with our clients’ attorneys, accountants, and other professionals to help ensure every part of their financial life works together.
One of the innovations we’re most proud of is our patented TriggerPoint™ Strategy, which we developed during the market turmoil of 2008. Watching investors react emotionally to dramatic market swings reinforced something we had long believed: successful investing isn’t about predicting the future—it’s about having a disciplined process.
The TriggerPoint™ Strategy is designed to help investors systematically buy when markets become undervalued and trim positions when markets become overvalued. Instead of allowing fear to drive selling during market declines or excitement to fuel buying after markets have already risen, the strategy uses predetermined “trigger points” that encourage disciplined action.
In simple terms, it seeks to do what every investor says they want to do—but what human nature often makes difficult: buy lower and sell higher.
The strategy removes much of the emotion from investment decisions by relying on objective guidelines rather than headlines or market sentiment. While no investment strategy can eliminate risk or guarantee results, we believe that maintaining discipline through all market environments gives investors a significant advantage over emotional decision-making.
More importantly, TriggerPoint™ is only one component of our comprehensive financial planning. We believe successful wealth management comes from integrating investment management with tax planning, cash flow strategies, risk management, and estate planning so every part of a client’s financial life works together.
What sets us apart most, however, isn’t a process or a strategy—it’s our relationships. We intentionally remain a boutique wealth management firm because we value deep, personal connections with the families we serve. Many of our clients have been with us for decades, and today we often advise multiple generations of the same family. That level of trust is something we never take for granted.
More than anything, we’re proud of the reputation we’ve earned. It’s been built one relationship at a time through honesty, thoughtful advice, and an unwavering commitment to always putting our clients’ interests first.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Do you have any advice for those who are just starting out? Anything you wish you knew when you were starting out?
Don’t focus on building a business—focus on building trust.
Early in your career, it’s easy to think success comes from finding more clients or growing faster. In reality, long-term success comes from earning people’s confidence every single day. Reputation is your most valuable asset, and it takes years to build but only moments to damage.
I’d also encourage people to stay curious. The world is constantly evolving, and the best entrepreneurs never stop learning. Be willing to ask questions, seek mentors, and challenge your own assumptions.
Finally, remember that resilience matters just as much as talent. Every successful business owner experiences setbacks. The difference is that they keep showing up, continue doing the right thing, and never lose sight of why they started in the first place. If you stay true to your values, success has a way of following.
