Today we’d like to introduce you to Ineka Waller.
Hi Ineka, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m the founder of WellnessWithWaller, a holistic wellness brand rooted in trauma informed healing, nervous system support, and creating intentional spaces for people to reconnect with themselves. My background is in mental health counseling and crisis stabilization, and for years I worked in high intensity environments supporting individuals through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. While that work deeply shaped me, it also showed me how disconnected many people are from rest, balance, and true healing.
At the same time, I was navigating my own wellness journey, rebuilding my health, learning to slow down, reconnecting with nature, prioritizing movement, and understanding how deeply the mind and body are connected. Through those experiences, I realized healing is not one size fits all. People need spaces where they feel safe, seen, and supported holistically.
What started as sharing wellness, self care, and healing content online gradually evolved into a growing community. As WellnessWithWaller expanded, I began hosting wellness events, sound healing experiences, and creating educational content centered around trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and intentional living. Social media unexpectedly became a powerful tool for connection, and seeing people resonate with the message confirmed that this work is part of my purpose.
Today, I’m continuing to grow WellnessWithWaller into a space that blends mental health, holistic wellness, movement, mindfulness, and community care. My goal is to help people find balance at the root of what they’re experiencing and remind them that wellness is vital in sustaining their purpose.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. A large part of my wellness journey was actually born through navigating chronic illness and learning how deeply stress, trauma, and physical health are connected. There was a period in my life where my body forced me to slow down, and that experience completely shifted my perspective on wellness.
I battled insulin resistance and experienced sepsis, which became a major turning point for me physically, mentally, and emotionally. As someone who spent years caring for others in demanding mental health and crisis environments, I realized I had not always extended that same level of care to myself. I was constantly in survival mode, pushing through exhaustion and functioning on autopilot.
One of the biggest struggles along the way was learning that healing is not linear. There were moments of burnout, frustration, and feeling disconnected from my body. I had to rebuild my relationship with rest, nutrition, movement, and nervous system regulation from the ground up. I also had to let go of the mindset that productivity determined my worth.
At the same time, those challenges became the foundation for the work I do today. They taught me the importance of holistic healing, slowing down, and creating sustainable wellness practices that support both the mind and body. That journey is a huge reason why WellnessWithWaller exists today. I wanted to create the kind of space and support that I wish I had while navigating those seasons of my life.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
WellnessWithWaller is a holistic wellness brand centered around intentional healing, community care, and creating safe spaces for people to reconnect with themselves. While my background is rooted in mental health counseling and trauma informed care, the heart of the brand is really about bringing wellness into real life in a way that feels accessible, grounding, and deeply human.
I specialize in curated wellness experiences, private events, and community based services that focus on nervous system support, mindfulness, sound healing, movement, and intentional rest. A lot of what I create is designed to help people slow down and reconnect with themselves outside of the chaos of everyday life. Whether it is a private sound bath, a wellness collaboration, a nature centered gathering, or an intimate healing experience, my goal is always to create environments where people feel safe, present, and supported.
What sets WellnessWithWaller apart is the intentionality behind it. I do not believe wellness should feel performative or exclusive. I focus heavily on authenticity, emotional safety, and creating experiences that feel personal and meaningful rather than transactional. Many people know the brand for its calming presence online, its focus on holistic healing and nervous system regulation, and the way it blends mental wellness with community connection and lifestyle.
Brand wise, I am most proud of the community that has naturally formed around the work. Seeing people resonate with the message, attend events, engage with the content, and feel seen through the experiences I create has been incredibly meaningful. I am also proud that the brand has grown organically through genuine connection and shared values.
I want readers to know that WellnessWithWaller is more than a wellness brand. It is a space that encourages people to slow down, prioritize themselves, and heal in ways that feel sustainable and aligned. My offerings continue to evolve, but the mission remains the same: creating intentional spaces that support healing, balance, and overall well being.
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I think my perspective on risk has changed a lot over the years. For a long time, I dealt with imposter syndrome and questioned whether I was truly qualified or ready to step into bigger opportunities. Coming from a mental health and crisis stabilization background, I was used to pouring into others behind the scenes, so putting myself and my work out publicly felt uncomfortable at first. I think many entrepreneurs and creatives experience that feeling of wondering if they are “enough” before they fully allow themselves to be seen.
One of the biggest risks I took was deciding to fully show up as myself and build WellnessWithWaller publicly, even before everything felt perfect or fully figured out. I started sharing my journey, my perspective on healing, and the wellness experiences I wanted to create, despite the fear of judgment or failure. Looking back, that vulnerability became one of the greatest opportunities for connection.
As I began pushing past imposter syndrome, so many doors started opening. I’ve now had the opportunity to collaborate with different wellness organizations, community events, creatives, and brands across Virginia, which has been incredibly rewarding. Those experiences taught me that growth often happens when you move forward before you feel completely ready.
I do not necessarily see risk taking as being reckless. For me, it is about trusting yourself enough to take aligned opportunities even when there is uncertainty involved. Every collaboration, event, and new offering came with some level of fear, but I’ve learned that staying small out of fear can sometimes cost you more than trying.
I think risk also looks like choosing authenticity in a world where people often feel pressure to perform. Building WellnessWithWaller has required me to trust my vision, honor my creativity, and believe that there is space for the kind of intentional, community centered wellness experiences I want to create. That mindset has allowed me to grow not only professionally, but personally as well.
