I founded our business on three main principles – quality, pricing, and service – and we pride ourselves on our commitment to these principles each day. “In 2009, right in the middle of the housing crash and financial collapse, the company I was working for laid me off. It was a chaotic time for the industry, but instead of waiting around for things to get better, I took a leap of faith and decided to build something of my own. That’s how Trogdon Enterprises was born.
Starting a remodeling business during one of the worst economic downturns in modern history wasn’t easy. Money was tight, work was scarce, and clients were cautious. But launching in that environment taught me lessons you can’t learn during a boom. It forced me to be incredibly lean, prioritize absolute precision and quality on every single job, and earn trust through clear communication and reliability.
Looking back, starting in 2009 was trial by fire. But proving that I could build a business from scratch during a collapse gave me the confidence, adaptability, and grit to handle any challenge that comes my way.”
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been smooth sailing—anyone who tells you running a contracting business is easy hasn’t been in the trenches!
:Coming off a layoff into a dead economy meant inconsistent cash flow. In the beginning, you don’t just do the work—you’re sales, accounting, estimating, and project management all in one.
It taught me strict cash-flow management, how to price jobs accurately, and how to budget for the dry spells.

Kitchen Remodeling: Custom cabinetry installation, island builds, tile backsplashes, structural wall removals for open-concept layouts, and detailed trim work.
Turnkey Execution: Managing the full scope—framing, drywall, tiling, plumbing/electrical coordination, and finish carpentry—so the client never has to juggle sub-contractors.
