Life & Work with Chef Groove of Virginia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Groove.

Hi Chef, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Absolutely. Allow me to reintroduce myself. Since the last time I was here, my following has grown and so has the business.
My name is William, but I go by Chef Groove. I’m a classically trained chef with about nine years of experience in the culinary field. I specialize in private dining, catering, and pop-up events; where I get the opportunity to showcase my creativity.
When I started this business in 2017, I knew one thing for certain, I wanted it to be centered around the food. No gimmicks, no Instagram tricks—just damn good food and an experience that people remember.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, and honestly, I don’t think it’s supposed to be. There have been plenty of challenges along the way, especially learning how to balance being a dad, chef, and business owner. Being a chef is so much more than creating beautiful dishes and serving delicious food. It requires dedication and discipline that people don’t see. I’ve learned that success doesn’t happen overnight. It takes consistency, resilience, and faith in God. The journey hasn’t been perfect but I wouldn’t trade the hard lessons for anything.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As a personal chef, my philosophy is simple: no gimmicks, no Instagram tricks just good food. I believe in letting the food speak for itself. For me, it’s not about trying to do the most or following every trend. It’s about creating food that tastes good, feels good, and keeps people coming back for more.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Please follow my socials and try to catch a pop up to try the food for yourself!
