Today we’d like to introduce you to Taurean McClary.
Hi Taurean, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was a 1st class sheet metal mechanic for bay metals and fabrication who are contractors for various naval shipyards. I also brought and resold cars on the side. When my wife and I was traveling up and down the east coast to go purchase the cars and resell to keep income flowing as she was pregnant with my youngest daughter Tauriyah. When my wife became to far along in pregnancy, it was like God Himself told me and placed it in my heart to purchase a tow truck. At the time I thought it was just to tow the vehicles that we purchased to resell so that my wife wouldn’t have to travel with me up and down the roads at all times of the day and night. I went to look at the tow truck that I purchased back in July of 2020 just before the Covid 19 pandemic hit and as I was in the phone with my mom the Lord said “Blessed Is He Autos And Towing” and I immediately went into weeping of Joy and thanking God. But at the time I was still trying to hold on to what I thought I knew was guaranteed income from my job. Well the pandemic hit and at the time the job didn’t make it mandatory for me to work. I just had to report every week to put in for time off. Well one day my former job called from a number I didn’t recognize and I answered “Blessed Is He Autos And Towing!” And then in that same conversation I was released from that employer. Thanks to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, it’s been the best decision I’ve made for my family and I. I have good days and I have better days but God kept us through it all.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It’s good days and better days but God have placed contracts in my lap literally. I say that to say I didn’t go look for the contracts that I have, people literally just liked the name of the company and gave me an opportunity.

We specialize in towing, roadside assistance like lock outs and jump starts. We are on the city of norfolk police list, we are on the state Virginia police list, we are also contracted by the USPS. So we are trusted in city, state, and federal.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Just trusting in God, practicing integrity, good character. But above all just keeping God first.
