Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeff Woolard.
Hi Jeff, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Out of high school I went to work for my dad in landscaping. I worked the family business for 25 yrs and then decided I would go to college to get a business degree. At 40 college was tough but I maintained a 4.0 average and graduated with a Business Administration degree from Liberty University.
I decided when my father retired that landscaping wasn’t for me, so I took a job as a facilities maintenance position for an insurance firm. I worked my way up to Facilities Director and decided that I wanted to start my own facilities business.
I advertised and started getting jobs for maintenance, with commercial and residential jobs. I hired 2 guys, so that I could work my job and still run the business.
It’s been 3 yrs since I started ProCare Solutions and revenue continues to grow each year. We have branched out to HVAC, flooring, maintenance, janitorial, and handyman. The next step would be to continuing growing and have my sons be part of the business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business is never a smooth ride! Advertising, financials, help, and equipment is something in itself just to get started. Than paying for insurance and breakdowns makes it rough the first few years but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
We’ve been impressed with ProCare Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own ProCare Solutions, a residential and commercial maintenance company serving Central Virginia. We provide property repairs, preventative maintenance, remodeling, flooring, painting, carpentry, deck repairs, and other improvement services for homeowners, businesses, landlords, and property managers. Our goal is to give customers one dependable company they can call for a wide range of property needs.
ProCare Solutions is known for being reliable, professional, and responsive. We take pride in communicating clearly, showing up when we say we will, and completing every project with quality workmanship and attention to detail. What I am most proud of is the trust we have built with our customers and the repeat business and referrals that come from doing the job right. We are licensed and insured, and our mission is simple: to provide honest service and practical solutions for all residential and commercial maintenance needs.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
One of my favorite childhood memories is spending long summer days outside with friends, playing football, riding bikes, and staying out until the streetlights came on. Life seemed simpler then, and we could turn almost anything into an adventure. What I remember most is the freedom, the laughter, and the time spent with family and friends. Those memories still remind me to appreciate the simple moments in life.
