Meet Nadia Ramadhin of Gift of Gab

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nadia Ramadhin.

Hi Nadia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
The great thing about speech pathology is that we are needed in so many different settings. Before officially starting Gift of Gab, I worked in Veterans Affairs hospitals, Skilled Nursing Facilities/Assisted Living, Medical Groups, Schools, and more!
I figured if I could make a great impact for other companies, why not myself?
One morning on the tail end of the pandemic, in my mother’s kitchen, Gift of Gab was born!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. When starting your own business, some people decide to take the big leap immediately. Personally, I decided to continue working my full time job, and start Gift of Gab at the same time.
That being said, sometimes I’d come up for air and realize I hadn’t had a day off in 20+ days.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Gift of Gab?
Gift of Gab is a speech therapy private practice. We pride ourselves on the connection we make with local families and individualized treatment plan for each client. Gift of Gab treats both pediatric and adult clients. We also provide teletherapy in several states.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Of course! I’m a big believer in “it takes a village”. Long before there was a Gift of Gab, my mom knew this was possible! Throughout my career, I’ve always had parents of clients ask “Why don’t you just start your own practice?”
With all of those whispers in my head, it seemed like the next opportunity was just there waiting for me to take it! I have an incredible support system who comes running when called. It seemed that even if I didn’t know the answer, someone always knew someone was willing to help! It’s so important to me to send the ladder back down!
