Hi Simone, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My love for modeling began when I was a child. I always enjoyed taking pictures and felt naturally comfortable in front of the camera, but I didn’t begin seriously pursuing the industry until I was 18 years old. Since then, I’ve had the honor of building my portfolio and working with talented photographers in Orlando, North Carolina, and now the DMV.
After moving to Virginia, I was blessed with the opportunity to work with The Chic Supreme, which has helped expand my experience and introduced me to the excitement of Fashion Week. Each opportunity has allowed me to grow more confident, refine my personal style, and learn more about the industry. My journey is still unfolding, and I’m excited to continue building my brand, expanding my reach, and seeing where modeling takes me next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. In the modeling industry, you hear a lot of “no’s,” and it can be challenging not to take rejection personally. Over time, I’ve learned that someone else’s “no” does not define my beauty, talent, or ability to succeed. It may simply mean that particular opportunity was not meant for me. I remind myself that it only takes one “yes” to open the right door.
Most importantly, I know that God is in control. His plans for my life are far greater than anything I could imagine for myself, so I continue to stay confident, remain consistent, and trust both His timing and the journey.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work focuses on fashion, editorial, and runway modeling. I love bringing a vision to life, whether I’m stepping in front of the camera for a creative shoot or walking the runway. I’m known for my confidence, versatility, and ability to adapt to different concepts while still bringing my own presence and personality to every project.
I also have 15 years of ballet experience, which has greatly influenced my creativity as a model. Ballet taught me discipline, body awareness, control, and how to communicate emotion through movement. That background allows me to create unique shapes, poses, and lines in front of the camera while helping me tell a story without using words.
I want people to look at my work and see art—not simply a collection of beautiful pictures. I want every image to tell a story, evoke an emotion, or make someone pause and wonder about the meaning behind it, similar to how you might sit with and analyze a piece of art in a museum. For me, modeling is about creating something that stays with people long after they have seen it.
I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown throughout this journey. I’ve continued building my portfolio across different states, stepped into Fashion Week opportunities, and remained committed to modeling while balancing a full-time professional career. That has required discipline, time management, and a genuine belief in myself.
What sets me apart is that I don’t rely solely on appearance—I bring creativity, professionalism, positive energy, resilience, and intention to everything I do. I’m always willing to learn, take direction, and challenge myself artistically. I also keep God at the center of my journey, which allows me to remain grounded, move with confidence, and trust that every opportunity meant for me will arrive at the right time.
What makes you happy?
I find happiness in the arts in all their forms—fashion, modeling, dance, Broadway productions, and live performances. I love seeing how music, movement, fashion, and storytelling come together to create something memorable. The arts inspire me and give me the freedom to express myself creatively.
I also enjoy traveling, exploring new places, and gaining new experiences that help me grow. Most importantly, spending time with my loved ones and strengthening my relationship with God bring me a deep sense of joy and peace. They keep me grounded, remind me of what truly matters, and allow me to live with gratitude and purpose.
