Meet Steven Hepler of Virginia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Hepler.

Hi Steven, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My stage name is Tso Ghostly,i started writing music when I was about 12 years old. While experiencing a rough upbringing music quickly became home for me aswell as a way for me to express what I was going through.

Over the years, I taught myself the ins and outs of the music industry while also becoming an audio engineer /vocal producer. Along the way I’ve had the opportunity to mix and master for Noble Outlaws, Trae Tha Truth, Pri, as well as many upcoming artists throughout Virginia and across the country

While teaching myself audio engineering I continued building my sound and catalog as Tso Ghostly working as an audio engineer with so many different artists exposed me to new styles. This really helped me find my voice an the sound I wanted to tell my story.I think becoming an engineer gave me all the colors to paint with.Blending dark, cinematic atmospheres with melodic intensity and emotion. Through the sound, visuals, and live performances, Myself , Director Nick Worsky (Kid nick) an producer Linz Prag try create a complete world around the music, one that feels raw and immersive

I’ve released multiple projects throughout my career including my most recent album, “City in the Sticks,” produced by Linz Prag. I’ve also collaborated with artists such as Rittz and Venom Stay Drippin, along with many others, and I’ve had opportunities to perform at many different venues an festivals an opened for artists including Caskey / ICP / Rittz / DJ Clay an more.

Everything I’ve built came from not being afraid to fail ,staying consistent, and refusing to let where I started determine where I could go.🎚️👻🎚️

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building my own studio from scratch, then teaching myself how to run all the equipment an DAWs such as Pro Tools and Logic outboard gear to plugins etc. was such an still is and always will be a learning curve. But I love it .

The music industry can be tricky , there’s been a few curveballs like learning how to properly collect your royalties as an artist.
Building a fan base while finding your style then marketing yourself in a way that’s genuine.Being an artist can be very costly especially at the beginning because there’s Little to none coming back while you find what works. Keep going!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Hip hop Artist / Audio Engineer / Creative Director

Being my own audio engineer has aloud me to develop a very unique style and sound.

Creative director, I’m hands on with my music videos alongside with Director Nick Worsky. I come up with a lot of concepts unique ideas and storyboards not only for myself but for other artists aswell. Creating is 2nd nature to me.
