Today we’d like to introduce you to Harold Berry.
Hi Harold, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve always created, but it wasn’t until my late 20s that I decided to fully commit and take my work seriously. That’s when I began developing my practice in both digital art and traditional painting. Working across these mediums allows me to balance experimentation with intention, blending modern techniques with hands-on process. My work reflects years of growth, curiosity, and a deep commitment to evolving as an artist.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced multiple obstacles, doubt, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty but each challenge forced me to sharpen my focus and trust my voice. Working between digital art and traditional painting has become both an outlet and a discipline, shaping a practice rooted in resilience, growth, and intention.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in painting and digital art, with occasional work in mural art. I’m most proud of the way my work has resonated beyond my immediate circle having artists and cultural icons like Missy Elliott, Just Blaze, and Faizon Love show love to my work has been incredibly validating. Also having an art piece that was on Display at Inova Art Gallery in Fairfax, VA at the Inova Schar Institute from Oct 2025 to Jan 2026. More than recognition, it’s a reminder that staying true to my vision, even through obstacles, can create real connections.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
The Subtle Art Of Not Giving A F**k and Outwitten The Devil are a couple of books that helped me stay sharp in my life currently.
