Today we’d like to introduce you to Joshua David.
Hi Joshua, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. I’ve lived in New York. Maryland and Florida. I was raised in a caribbean household that always did things collectively and the youngest of 4 siblings that has put God first in all aspects of our lives. My maternal grandmother always taught me to do things wholeheartedly and thoroughly no matter what. And I’ve been writing music since I was 20 years old.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’ve faced adversity since birth due to only knowing one grandmother. Since my other grandparent’s passed away before my existence and recently losing my only brother on my birthday of this year. But I’m staying strongminded in the midst of it all and conversing my feelings in my music.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an artist that expresses himself from the hardship and adversity I’ve faced in the DMV area.

Going to trinidad as a child
