Today we’d like to introduce you to Marta Kovalova.
Hi Marta, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story has always been shaped by creativity, curiosity, and a desire to experience the world beyond what I already know. I’m originally from Ukraine, have lived in three countries, and have always been drawn to exploring different cultures, places, and ways of life.
I started creating content around 2020, initially as a creative outlet alongside my studies. With a background in graphic design and front-end development, I’ve always been interested in both the visual and strategic sides of creativity. Over time, that interest grew into a career in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
Today, I create luxury lifestyle, travel, beauty, and food content, sharing experiences and discovering places and products that inspire me. I also work on the strategy and creative direction behind digital content, which allows me to combine my design background with storytelling and my understanding of social media.
My journey hasn’t followed one straight path. Living abroad, traveling, and building a career across different creative fields have all shaped how I approach my work and the opportunities I pursue. I’m currently based in Israel, continuing to grow my creative business while exploring new places and building connections with people and brands around the world.
For me, the most rewarding part is that I’ve been able to turn my curiosity and creative interests into something tangible. I’m still evolving, experimenting, and figuring out what I want the next chapter to look like, and I think that openness to new experiences is a big part of what has brought me here.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Definitely not. One of the biggest challenges has been building a career that doesn’t follow a traditional path. Content creation and social media are constantly evolving, so you have to be willing to adapt, learn new skills, and find ways to stand out in an increasingly crowded space. A lot of the work that goes into building a creative business happens behind the scenes, from pitching brands and negotiating collaborations to planning content, analyzing performance, and managing projects independently.
Another challenge has been navigating life across different countries. Living abroad teaches you independence and adaptability, but it also means constantly adjusting to new environments, building connections from scratch, and figuring things out without always having a familiar support system nearby.
I’ve also had to learn how to balance different professional interests. I enjoy content creation, but I’m equally interested in design, strategy, and the business side of creativity. Finding a way to bring those interests together while still growing professionally has been an ongoing process.
I think one of the biggest lessons has been that progress isn’t always linear. There are periods when opportunities come naturally and others when you have to be much more intentional about creating them yourself. I’ve learned not to interpret every setback as a sign that I’m on the wrong path. Sometimes it’s simply an opportunity to reassess, improve, and try a different approach.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work sits at the intersection of content creation, visual storytelling, and digital strategy. I specialize in luxury lifestyle, travel, beauty, and food, creating content that feels elevated and intentional while still being relatable and engaging. I’m drawn to beautiful details, distinctive experiences, and the little things that make a place or brand memorable.
What makes my work different is that I approach content from both a creative and a technical perspective. My background in graphic design and front-end development influences how I think about composition, aesthetics, branding, and the overall digital experience. Having worked in social media for several years, I also understand that creating something beautiful is only part of the process. Content needs to connect with an audience, communicate a clear message, and serve a purpose.
Alongside creating content for my own platforms, I work on social media strategy and creative projects for brands, helping translate ideas into visual stories that fit their identity and resonate with their audiences. I enjoy the entire process, from developing a concept and planning the visuals to thinking about how the final piece will perform and how it fits into a larger brand story.
I’m most proud of building a creative career that brings together so many of my interests while allowing me to work across different industries and cultures. As someone who has lived in three countries and traveled internationally, I’m constantly exposed to new perspectives, which naturally influences my creative work.
Ultimately, I think what sets me apart is the combination of an eye for aesthetics, a strategic mindset, and genuine curiosity. I want the content I create to do more than look good. I want it to make people feel something, discover something new, or see an everyday experience from a different perspective.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
I don’t think I have one specific childhood memory that stands out above all the others. Looking back, I think it’s more about the overall feeling of growing up, the little everyday moments, and the experiences that shape who you become without you even realizing it at the time. Sometimes you don’t fully appreciate those moments until you’re older and can look back at them from a different perspective.
