Hi Michael, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Hello my name is michael hiles, i have been tattooing for over 19 years and have enjoyed art much longer. I am an artist/painter that just got very lucky with tattooing and I thank god every day. I say i got lucky bc tattooing was a hobby as i was growing in my art journey, and by tattooing basic simple things until i was able to do complex designs it helped pay for art supples until i grew into the artist i am today. I love what i do and i get to create art everyday for people. I have great clients that let me be creative with their dreams and shape them into walking breathing pieces of art. Dreamland has been a home away from home for so many years for me and to me i love being here and doesnt even feel like work
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
This road of tattooing has been the roughest, bumpiest ride. Its true when they say its feast or famine in the arts, but this is one of the most fulfilling things i have ever done and was worth every struggle meeting the people i get to meet

I am an artist that primarily tattoos
I specialize in realistic work, tiny details and surrealism. I am known as the artist that will help you work through your problems and encourage you through all aspects of life as we create a memorable tattoo. Im so proud of the relationships i have built with people, people/relationships are the heart beat of life. What really sets me apart is my ability to connect with you on a deeper level and create something unique
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
What most people dont know about me is i didn’t start talented(or natural talent), i just loved art and tattooing.. i didn’t quit, and put in a tremendous amount of time and discipline to learn art and i am still learning soooo much. Cant wait to see where life takes it
