Rising Stars: Meet Nazratu Boateng of Virginia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazratu Boateng.

Hi Nazratu, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My journey has been one of faith, resilience, and purpose.

I didn’t start with everything figured out. Like many entrepreneurs, I experienced setbacks, made mistakes, questioned myself, and had to learn many lessons the hard way. But every challenge became an opportunity to grow, refine my vision, and strengthen my faith.

Professionally, I’ve spent years serving others through case management and community work, helping individuals overcome barriers and rebuild their lives. At the same time, I was building my own entrepreneurial journey. What began as a passion for creating beautiful experiences eventually grew into Eventz by Naz LLC, a luxury wedding and event design company committed to excellence and intentionality.

As my business grew, I realized there was a deeper calling beyond designing events. I saw a need for spaces where women could come together to learn, collaborate, build authentic relationships, and be reminded that they don’t have to choose between their faith, family, purpose, and ambition.

That vision gave birth to the She Can Have It All Networking Summit.

This summit is more than an event. It’s a movement designed to equip women with practical business strategies, meaningful connections, and the confidence to pursue the purpose God has placed on their lives. My goal is to create a room where women leave inspired, empowered, and equipped to build lasting legacies.

Today, I’m proud to serve as an entrepreneur, wife, mother of four, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and a woman of faith who believes that every experience—both the victories and the setbacks—has prepared me for this assignment.

My story is proof that success isn’t about having a perfect journey. It’s about saying yes to God’s vision, learning from every season, and continuing to build with purpose.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Absolutely not. Like many entrepreneurs, my journey has been filled with challenges, setbacks, and lessons that have shaped the leader I am today.

One of the biggest struggles was learning how to build a business without having all the answers or a roadmap. I made mistakes, invested in things that didn’t always produce the results I expected, and had to learn the importance of systems, pricing, boundaries, and strategic planning. There were seasons when I questioned whether I was truly capable of building the vision God had placed on my heart.

Balancing entrepreneurship with being a wife, a mother of four, serving in ministry, and maintaining a full time career also required tremendous discipline and sacrifice. There were many late nights, early mornings, and moments when I had to choose consistency over comfort.

I’ve also learned that not everyone will understand your vision, and that’s okay. Building something meaningful requires resilience, confidence, and the willingness to keep moving forward even when the results aren’t immediate.

Looking back, I don’t regret the mistakes because they became some of my greatest teachers. They helped me grow as a leader, strengthened my faith, and gave me the wisdom to help other women avoid some of the same challenges I faced.

Today, I see every obstacle as preparation. Those experiences are a big part of why I created the **She Can Have It All Networking Summit**. I wanted to build the kind of community I needed when I was starting out—a place where women can gain practical knowledge, make meaningful connections, learn from experienced leaders, and realize they don’t have to navigate entrepreneurship alone.

My journey hasn’t been smooth, but every challenge has prepared me to lead with greater purpose, compassion, and authenticity.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I wear several hats, but at the heart of everything I do is one mission: creating meaningful experiences that inspire, empower, and transform lives.

I am the Founder and CEO of Eventz by Naz LLC, a luxury wedding and event design company specializing in elevated event experiences that are both elegant and intentional. I believe every event should tell a story, which is why I focus on creating unforgettable experiences rather than simply decorating a space.

I’m also the Founder and Host of the She Can Have It All Networking Summit, a movement created to empower women through Faith. Brand. Connection. The summit brings together entrepreneurs, business owners, professionals, and aspiring leaders to gain practical business strategies, build authentic relationships, and grow both personally and professionally. My goal is to create the kind of room where women leave feeling equipped, encouraged, and inspired to pursue the vision God has placed on their lives.

Beyond entrepreneurship, I serve my community through my work in human services, helping individuals navigate challenges, access resources, and improve their quality of life. Serving others has always been central to who I am, whether it’s through my career, my businesses, or my ministry.

What I’m most proud of isn’t simply building successful businesses. It’s building platforms that create opportunities for other people. Seeing women make new connections, launch businesses, gain confidence, or simply realize they are not alone reminds me why I started.

I believe what sets me apart is my willingness to be transparent about my journey. I don’t pretend to have all the answers or portray entrepreneurship as a perfect path. I’ve made mistakes, experienced setbacks, and learned many lessons along the way. Rather than hiding those experiences, I use them to help others avoid common pitfalls and build with greater wisdom and confidence.

Everything I create is rooted in faith, excellence, and intentionality. Whether I’m designing a luxury event, leading the She Can Have It All Networking Summit, or mentoring and encouraging women, my goal is always the same: to leave people better than I found them and to create spaces where purpose can flourish.

For me, success isn’t measured solely by revenue or recognition. It’s measured by impact. If my work helps someone believe in themselves, take the next step toward their purpose, or build a lasting legacy, then I’ve accomplished exactly what I set out to do.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is living a life of purpose, honoring God, and leaving a legacy that extends beyond me.

My faith is the foundation of everything I do. It influences how I lead, how I serve, how I build my businesses, and how I make decisions. I believe every opportunity I’ve been given comes with the responsibility to serve others with excellence, integrity, and compassion.

My family also means everything to me. Being a wife and a mother of four has taught me that success isn’t just about professional achievements—it’s about building a life that reflects my values and creates a lasting example for my children. I want them to see what it looks like to pursue big dreams while remaining grounded in faith, character, and service.

I’m also deeply passionate about empowering women. I know what it feels like to navigate entrepreneurship, make mistakes, question your abilities, and wonder if you’re truly capable of achieving the vision God has placed in your heart. That’s why I created the She Can Have It All Networking Summit—to build the kind of community where women can learn from one another, form genuine connections, gain practical knowledge, and be reminded that they don’t have to walk their journey alone.

At the end of the day, I don’t want to be remembered simply for the events I designed or the businesses I built. I want to be remembered for the lives I impacted, the doors I helped open, and the people I encouraged to believe in themselves and boldly pursue their purpose.

For me, that’s what success truly looks like: using the gifts God has given me to leave people, communities, and future generations better than I found them.
